I’ve heard this kind of “argument” before. In the last decade of the Soviet Union the level of Caspian sea was noticeably decreasing. Lots of “environmental activists” claimed that as it correlated with the use of water from the main river feeding it, Volga, this decrease in level was because we took too much water from Volga. Then about 15 years ago, while the same amount of water was still taken from Volga, the level of Caspian sea began to rise. “Environmental activists” were suddenly silent. BTW, it keeps rising now, even though more and more water is taken from Volga every year.

Point is, we know so little that jumping to conclusions is the silliest thing we can do. Science teaches you humility, whereas what “activists” of all stripes are preaching is “know-it-al” arrogance.

What I understand that KSA Royals are not happy with Trump tweeting almost daily that King Salman will not last more than two weeks without USA Military backing. Firstly, there IS an important place for this type of effort and I do respect people who do that. It COULD grow from disappointing into serious. I mean, even this article topic is related to the very beginning of troubles in Syria. They started with protests.

The thing with protests is, again as so well known to many in USA/West, they must have huge numbers and, more importantly, they must be violent.
