Help A Kiwi Journalist Take On The Spies – #1vs5i

Update posted by Suzie Dawson On Aug 31, 2019

Supporters and friends - please watch, like and share this new short 4 minute update video from Suzie. She speaks about her experience at her recent visit to the immigration service to reapply for asylum, where she submitted crucial new evidence in her case.

This is the 2nd periodic update video filmed by our campaign team with Suzie and posted on her You Tube channel.

In it, Suzie also reminds us why this campaign is so important, concluding: "This campaign is shining a light back on the abuses of the security services and intelligence agencies in a way that we haven't seen recently done."

We've had a great start but we will need all of your help to spread the word, recruit new donors and volunteers, and help build a war chest for Suzie's lawyers to tackle these serious issues and directly confront such powerful opponents, for the benefit of us all. Without a citizenry free from state spying and intimidation, there can be no democracy! Your love, your support, your networking skills and your dollars are making the difference - turning what could easily have been an Orwellian despair into a sincere hope for progress and redress and a golden opportunity to make it happen.

We thank you for all your kind wishes and your integrity in backing this campaign

Dear Campaign Supporters

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated and joined the campaign to support Suzie's quest for justice from the unlawful spying of the Five Eyes. You are giving people a real hope that together we can make a difference in this fight back against abuses of states against their citizens!

It's been a huge week for Suzie and her family - who have now reapplied for asylum in Russia, and are waiting to hear by September 5th whether that application will be accepted for review by the authorities. If they do accept it for review, she will have a 90-day grace period while awaiting a decision.

The #1vs5i campaign donations have been forwarded to the Trust Account of Suzie's solicitors in New Zealand. Suzie will need $30,000 to resource the first stretch of proceedings in support of her legal claims. So we need your help to ramp up this campaign going forward. There are a number of ways you can make a difference:

Suzie herself is making short campaign update videos about her situation to keep people up to date with what is going on for her in Moscow - you can view these (and subscribe to!) her Youtube Channel

Thank you so much for your principled support of this campaign, it means the world to Suzie and her family

Suzie, I appreciate you and your work for so many reasons. Your honesty, integrity, and courage are an inspiration. You are an amazing role model for those who wanted to fight this global takeover but didn't know where to begin. Please keep speaking up and writing and know that we are listening and learning. I hope we will see the day when justice prevails, and if not, at least we know we were on the right side of this fight.
