Subj: You Incorporated (Audio)
———————–
Recently a friend of mine came out to the mean streets of Saigon to visit with me.
Fortunately I live in the Beverly Hills of Vietnam and we're able to live like Kings.
We were shooting the breeze in my enormous home office and we got to talking about authenticity. I had a revelation and thought….
“Hey, let's record this to audio so all the guy's around the world stuck in jobs they hate and living lives they loathe can hear about two men who live life the way they want to live.”
I figure you can either get jealous and resentful, you can get motivated to make your situation better, or you can enjoy the entertainment.
Any option is ok by me.
In this podcast edition you will hear:
- why we're so special that we can pack up and move any time we want
- how we can eat $500 steak dinners any time we want
- how we can do anything any time we want
What's the answer, why are we so special?
If you just can't wait through the audio to hear the answer I will tell you right now what makes us special:
We aren't so special, we just made the right choices.
Can you do the same?
Yes.
Will you?
I don't know. You tell me, friend, 'cause that's all you've got to do….
Say the words, then make those words a reality.
I've made the audio broadcast sound cocky, but this podcast isn't actually about myself and Mr. Cernovich. It's truly about you, its about being yourself, it's about being the CEO of You, Inc.
It's about transcending normality and fulfilling your destiny by being who you are meant to be.
Listen in, enjoy, then make your life happen.
Mentioned in the Podcast:
- Danger and Play – The blog by Mike Cernovich
- BADNET – Build You, Inc. the right way with help from Papa Vic's team
- Gorilla Mindset – The book by Mike Cernovich (read Victor's Gorilla Mindset review here)
Until next time.
Your man,
-Victor Pride
PS – If you like this podcast and want to hear more of the Victor Pride Broadcast for Winners please leave a review at iTunes.
Some vandals have tried to knock my ratings down by sending me a wave of one-star reviews. But they won't win, losers never win, the winners from B&D; are always going to win – so do Papa Vic a favor and leave a nice review.

Starting an exercise routine to this, thank you so much. Just in time for a grey day.
Matt says
Grey days are the perfect days. I find I progress just that much more when I do something I don’t want to do.
Brian Molina says
Awesome, this is the first new post since I started reading your website. I’m on Day 9 of 30 Days of Discipline, and plan on having my website launched (already have domain and hosting, creating content right now) by the end of it.
No, it’s not up yet, and no, my empire isn’t running yet, but it is on its way. Just wanted to give you a heads up and say thanks, Vic. You’ve given me the (last) kick in the ass I shouldn’t have needed. I do appreciate it though.
Dylan Madden says
I enjoyed the podcast. I liked the part about explaining to people what we do. Also, I completely agree that there is no 10 step plan to get the life you want.
Your friend,
Dylan Madden
Evo Bulgarevo says
Motivational indeed. Thanks for the broadcast.
Timothy Torrents says
Cool, I’v been following both of you guys for quite awhile now, awesome to see you team up and do a podcast.
I’m starting my blog again with the main purpose of writing my ass off and finding my voice, we’ll see what happens. Awesome podcast guys!
Steven says
Cool Vic,
I’ve been waiting your post this month and finally you fire me up again.
Anyway, your B&D app is cool. I’ve used it in my android.
Keep up the great work,
~ Steven
Victor Pride says
What app are you talking about?
Miki says
Seems that someone is goin’ to get sued for ripping B&D off.
B&D Android App that Vic doesn’t know about – LOL.
Anon1 says
just did a quick google, it would appear someone needs to get his ass sued, victor:
http://www.androidpit.com/app/com.starklab.bad
Miki says
Yeah I noticed them too, but the one that really got my attention was this one:
http://es.appszoom.com/iphone-app/bold-determined-kyxdb.html
The first ones are giving it away for free and they made the APP something like a B&D fan freeware for easier browsing.
On the other hand, this dude is SELLING B&D APP using the contents of its PREMIUM content (30 Days of Discipline) and sharing it with his buyers.
Such a lack of good manners.
Victor Pride says
Rest assured they’ll all be hearing for B&D legal.
Victor Pride says
Yes, it does appear that way.
PM says
hey what a timing! you got an attorney in your house as this happens haha
Victor Pride says
Yeah. Go ahead and steal from me, dipshits, I’ve got a junkyard dog of an attorney living with me.
Jim says
hey victor, what is the ebst way to deal with copycats? what measures do you take when someone copies your work?
Thanks a lot,jim
sameer says
that was too good, which app u r talking abt. . what a timing
Nate says
Vic,
I can’t thank you enough for for everything you’ve done for me. I’ve quit my job as a night auditor for a hotel, created my blog, and started trt.
It’s absolutely true that it’s easier to lie about what you do for a living than to tell the truth. When people ask what I’m doing, I can actually see my words going in one ear and out the other. I’ll talk to the same person a week later and they’ll casually refer to me as unemployed. If I was slaving away selling hotdogs they’d understand, but blogging is too much for their comprehension.
This podcast has given me some great ideas, time to bleed.
Thanks!
Nate
Victor Pride says
I took a quick look at your blog and instagram. Fantastic style, keep up the good work.
Good Looking Loser says
I agree.
Nate says
Thanks for the compliments guys! I feel like Arnold Schwarzenegger just gave my guns the nod of approval.
See you at the top.
Riz says
I disagree with Vic and Chris. In no way trying to be a dick. The pictures are incredibly large and it’s difficult to see the title of your articles.
Also, the look and feel is quite plain in my opinion. I feel like I am on any other style blog. I am not saying the content is not good, I just think it lacks personality.
Just an opinion, feel free to be yourself.
Nate says
Thanks for the feedback Riz, I’ve only been at it for about 4 months (with zero web design experience) so I’m still finding my style . I’m looking to make some changes this weekend based on feedback from you guys.
Your site looks great, btw.
Good Looking Loser says
I agree with you that the first picture (showcase) is too big.
When there’s a product there it can be confused for an advertisement.
How “pretty” the website looks shouldn’t be a huge concern in the early days though.
Riz says
Actually now that I take a closer look, I think your category pages are clean and easy to digest, it’s just the home page where the oversized pictures throw it off.
Loser 2 Winner says

I have been reading and writing and improving, putting in the work for over a year now.
In one more year I will be ready to share what I have done with those who have yet to do it.
I read old posts here at B&D as a hobby, and I am dismayed to click on people’s names to go to their website only to find their link is dead. They quit. They gave up.
For all of you aspiring, wanna-be bloggers, and those of you who have just started; go to 27:03 of this podcast and listen very, very carefully for 1:13.
All I will add to that is this:
“You want it? You go work for it and then you get it.
If you don’t work for it, fuck you, you don’t get it.
End of story. Passion or not.”

Isn’t writing about personal experiences kind of therapeutic?
I wrote an article about my father’s suicide that had my whole body shaking, and tears flowing unctrolably. felt very drained once it was completed. Pretty scary to enter that moment of my life again… but when shit was all said adn done a burst of euphoria just hit.
Victor Pride says
Yes. You’ve just said it all.

Great message from two guys at the top of the game. Thank you.
My good friend just returned from living in Saigon for 6 months and loved it. Didn’t know you were there.
Do you have any plans of moving from there? He loved it so much he may return.
Victor Pride says
I will move at some point, Saigon isn’t a “forever home” style city. I’ll be here for the foreseeable future.

This podcast FIRED ME UP!!!
I’m new to blogging and, honestly, I only have 6 months of experience doing what I love. In 6 months I dropped a toxic girlfriend, quit a job I hate, and replaced losers with winners. My blog now is my journey and I can’t wait to get to the top.
I know it’s big talk, but I have a superiority complex and I can’t wait to be seen alongside Victor, Chris, and Mike as Fred Fuckin’ Mason!
… and until then, I will do and fail until I’m known
Victor Pride says
You’ve said the words, now make it happen.
Fred Mason says
I will Papa Vic… I will
Marco says
Fred, I just visited your blog (http://themaverickpath.com) and I have to say: It looks pretty shitty. I am pretty sure that you will never have success with it if you don’t change at least how it looks like.
Victor talked about how he has improved the traffic and success of a blog by giving a few tips how to do that. I tell you and I am sure that Victor would too if he saw your blog: Change your blogs appearance.
When I klicked your blog, I felt like “uh, wtf, I don’t want to read any word here” and go back from where I came to you. Just a hint for you. Actually more a safe bet.
Greetings from Germany.
Fred Mason says
it’s good to know where I need to improve and will invest into it before next week. I lost a job recently, so money has been coming in slow. Now I have some coming my way to invest ;)

There are so many FREE WordPress themes out there that are 1000x better than the one you are using right now.
BM says
There is trend I have been observing for quite some time here, in that some guys are confusing blogging with copying B&D. I got excellent tips and ideas from this site, mostly at a personal improvement level, but also financially. But I’m pretty sure the idea is not for everyone to write a “website for winners”. That’s B&D, for crying out loud. I have a different background so I’m using and adapting the knowledge you provide here to my own field – it has zero to do with writing about self-improvement, but it works just as well. I am now (after a somewhat shitty end of 2014) in a wave of good fortune, so once again, thanks for your genuine work.
Riz says
Copying will never succeed. You have to put in the time & work, which can take years. If you lack personality, it will show in the design and content.
Fred Mason says
Im more on the Mike philosophy: I gotta get started now and just get better as I go. He was where I am and today he’s highly on top. Thankfully, I’m only at phase 1. Phase 2 is soon to come
Fred Mason says
I see The Maverick Path as trial and error til I find my voice. Right now I’m in phase 1: sharing my lessons
Next will be my experiences applying the lesson and who knows after that. But for now, it’s strictly what I learned and how I applied it

I clicked on the site and immediately backed out. Change the background color man. Solid green is definitely not fucking attractive.

Sorry but your website sucks. And just shows how clueless everyone is. Stop sucking up to Victor Pride too its embarrassing. Why do you guys do this ?
To make it real simple – do something you are better than everyone else at. Do it for a decade. There you go.
With 1 month in the gym do you honestly think anyone is going to listen to you? Are you serious.
Just me personally at 21 I have 5-6 years lifting experience. Collegiate sport. Army reserve training. Nearing 3 Years of computer programming. And corporate work experience at 4-8 different Tier 1 Firms. You’re not even more successful than me and I am a not even Top 5% of the best people my age.
So if I have 5 Years on average experience in everything your writing about at age 21 what advice can you give, which audience would you cater to, is your advice even any good if you haven’t applied it in your own life.
Youll just be wasting time Which you’ll never get back.
See what you can be better than everyone else at. Do it over a decade. Successful life. It really is that simple. Life is not fair. Not everyone can get an Olympic Gold medal. Find out an area where you can get at least bronze (an area you are better than most people) and monitize it.
If you can’t be better than anyone creative or technical I.e. your not the next fashion mogul, hedge fund associate, tech start up founder – go into Corporate Sales or Real Estate.
Otherwise again your wasting your time reading these posts feeling “pumped” and doing absolutely 0 all day long.
P.S shout out to wallstreet playboys. if these guys are the holy trinity. WSP is God.

I don’t usually like podcast, I’m never able to keep my attention on from start to finish. but I really liked this one and I listened closely to every single word you guys said. You are both fascinating men and very inspirational too.
A couple of days ago I stumbled across an article of someone who was depicting you Victor as some sort of sociopath predator looking too prey on gullible young men to sell them some fake dreams and dangerous products. He said that you were some douche who thinks everybody that is not like him is an idiot, that you had two side, one we see of B&D and another you try to hide and some other bullshit like that. What I thought from all that is the the author didn’t ”get it”. Really I don’t think he gets your whole message. He sounded jealous to me.
Like I said I think you are very inspiring and that the motivation you provide can help anybody succeed, whatever its in blogging or not. But I also think you are a very good man, with a good heart, I can sense that through a lot of your articles. I think a lot of people who think you are an asshole or a douche are just sensitive bitch and don’t like you straightforward, no bullshit approach. Since I read your stuff I work a lot to be more like that in my everyday life.
As a 22 years old I don’t have much to wright about because I haven’t done shit in life yet and I am not satisfied where I’m at, so blogging is not for me. Maybe one day, when I’m older, because I did have some very hard things happening to me that could be inspiring to some when I’ll fix things and succeed in life. For now I need to find something that I’m passionate about to give it my all and make a living out of it, but I got nothing for now, no direction, but I’ll find.
Thanks Pride.

Vic speaks the real deal , ive recommended his site to all my buddies , my life has changed 360 degrees from when I left a toxic relationship with my ex , the serge nubret article was a catalyst I said fuck it , found a good gym paid cash for a yearly membership and trained everyday , steak and eggs , ive listened to anthony robbins brian tracy etc but vic is unique he tells the truth how it is and its not censored to be politically correct to appeal to the masses he appeals to real men and future leaders
Italian G says
Hey, I can tell you with certainty Victor is not some maniacal guy. I lived in Seattle when my buddy showed me his site. I think Vic and him talked about marketing methods and what not. Why would Vic be selling fake dreams?
I live by the same code pretty much with some variances PM. I built a million dollar company in about three and half years. With or without Vic I live my life by these standards as well. I would say consider the source. Furthermore, as you get older I can assure you those of us that eventually get a clue know there are TWO SIDES to every story. They say, “And in the middle is the truth”. Bullshit… Sometimes, and not in this case.
As far as dangerous products…? Would those death statistic products be in alignment with genetically modified foods we consume as Americans? If you are an American I can assure you, you have been pumped full of shit and chemicals for years, not to mention the chlorine in your water.
Let’s say what people are thinking modafinil. Well, what about the millions of Americans prescribed anti-depressants, Adderal, and a host of questionable pills. Do guys 50 need dick pills? Or is their junk misfiring because they have not exercised, are beta males, and have ate like shit for 30 or 40 years!
For what it’s worth I don’t think hes a bad guy. He just burns with passion and broke the mold or cage society tries to impose on us. He found a way out and now he lives.
PM says
I know, I never had doubt in Vic. I think the author of the article I mentioned is just an hater who doesn’t understand the essence of B&D. It might get people mad but its just a matter of seeing things how they really are. no PC. no BS.
PM says
BTW italian G, what’s your company?
Italian G says
Three. I have this blog called http://alphaunderground.net/ . However, I would not bring this up here. The second is the financial industry. I sell an access point for credit cards. I also, own an SEO company.
What no one knows is Vic told me like three years ago if I got a blog I could show it here. As if I could ever compete against him. He is synonymous with this and I love him for it.
I am focusing on what I do well. Sales, American Women. Vic does not care for there style. Either do I. However, some might say I do ok. I have studied body language for about 8 years. I’m fascinated by it. My site’s name isnt even what you think. There is a far greater meaning to it. I will reveal it one day… I will give a clue. shit I will just say it.
I’m breaking role and being serious now. One of my best friends committed suicide in 2000. It effected me greatly. He had the world by the balls & he pissed it away. Substances greatly effected him. With his death came an irrevocable change in the perception of my reality. I sensed something was wrong the last time I spoke to him. Instead of having kindness and empathy in my heart, I was fed up. It’s not my fault. However, It haunts me to this day. If anyone wants to use that as a way to drill into me, be my guest. If you really think I’m the persona I play in here then you have not watched. However, this is not the house that I built. I just come in sometimes to see what Vic is up to. Sometimes there are some nuts in the house & it’s a little funny. Admit it. I would never tear into someone as an adult man, we just know this is the path of weakness. Other times there are some great thoughts put out there. I like what I see. I like it when someone has a passion. This is good. This is the stuff of life. Also, my friend is the alpha underground. It’s my tribute to him and to what his and my beliefs were even back then. He would like it…And every day I still rise…
Italian G says
Another thing I want to ad, is putting my URL, up on this site is a ONE DAY thing. I would never take advantage of Vic’s generosity. You don’t think I have a financial opportunity to throw his way? I have came across hands down the best amino acid powder in existence. I will be sending him some as I know everyone is going to go nuts over it. This stuff, is not cut garbage. I know the scientist that makes it and people in SoCal are flipping out over it. It heals your body. It’s hands down the most amazing thing I have taken supplement wise & I’m not a fan of sups bro.
Bobby says
I’m a scrawny little IT puke. Thanks for giving me a good kick in the ass.
Alex says
Thank you Victor and Mike for just being who you are. Listening and reading to your work has helped me so much in finding who I am all over again. Once I figured that out, it became so much clearer on where I want to go.
The biggest thing I took away from this episode is that I keep shitty people I keep in my life. I keep more people who don’t understand what I do or why I want what I want than those who will help me get there; AKA “normal people”.
I’ve known that their only real role to me has been entertainment, but the longer I choose to be broke the more I realize that I just don’t need the entertainment of going out to bars or listen to friends compete about who got the most fucked up last weekend like it’s some noble accomplishment.
I’ve thrown myself fully into my business before and lost my human side for a while. I didn’t like it, so I clung to these people to keep me feeling human. What I didn’t realize was that I was submitting myself to a normal life, just like the people I gave my time to when I knew I wasn’t like them.
I’m glad this happened to me so early in my life because I know I’m going to be back bigger and stronger and leave a deeper impact than I ever did when I believed to be in “my prime”.
I’d like to send one last “thank you” for helping me realize all of this. You already know it, but your work is changing the world, Victor.
Victor Pride says
Thank you for the kind words, Alex.

LOL! WHAT? People doubt how much you make a month Vic? The good news, is that is done. I have about four or five articles on my blog. I will show everyone tomorrow empathetical proof how much you make a month on your blog. Not only is he telling the truth. I will give everyone an undeniable way to see it with your own eyes tomorrow night my time pacific from Southern Cal (city unnamed… Its a big one & full of incredible women). NO ONE could ever possibly deny your TRUTH again. So they can come to my site and see… HELL, I know what your buddy on this piece makes from his site… I have the skills.
I love what you guys say about being authentic and writing about what you are. In fact, Victor here are the names of a few of my original articles. The Old School ‘Steak and Eggs’ Diet for Fat Loss, Balanced Energy, and Increased Testosterone, So You Want to Be a Professional Badass, 8 Reasons Every Man Should Lift Weights. Also, I have a totally original e-book called Body of a Spartan. If you read those Vic, I’ll teach you something.
That article, The Old School ‘Steak and Eggs’ Diet for Fat Loss was something my buddy sent you (Mark). We were doing this in 95 and everyone in college thought we were idiots. After I took a summer & a semester off and came back with 19 inch arms (natural) eating like this, they stopped making fun of us and started asking questions. That article made us instantly like you.
I don’t have the content you have yet, but I don’t care. That would be an excuse.
This is the death of Italian G and I will be posting under my blog name after tomorrow, on your site.
Peter says
Hey Vic,
Another excellent Pridecast, I only wish I heard this a few years ago. When I was 21 I got wrapped up in the get-rich-quick nonsense. Took me too long to realize that the only audience for those products were suckers like me who actually thought you could get rich quick.
Now I finally feel like I’m finding my voice, and I couldn’t be happier about it. The part about “bleeding on the page” was pure gold, and spot on. Any serious blogger needs to listen to that section at least 10 times with undivided attention. That type of writing will provide more money and satisfaction than any Internet Marketing product in the world.
I’d love to be a fly on the wall for some more conversations between you and Mike.
I would also enjoy seeing that GoPro footage from Mike (lol).

You are correct. It isn’t a pin point method. It certainly will not go under. It basically says, this is the worst case scenario. The point is no one can’t say you don’t average at lease 10k a month. I am an authorized auth.net dealer. I own a company that deals in merch accounts. You are correct that it can’t show best case scenario.
Miki says
From the moment I’ve seen your posts on B&D couple of years ago I knew you’re a wanna-be bullshitter, an attention whore and insecure failure. I could just smell it.
After trying to use B&D to drive traffic to your website not by giving value in comments but by falsely stating that you’ll offer “PROOFS OF HOW MUCH VIC EARNZ WITH YO OWN EYEZ”, with second grade attempt of tension building “coming out tomorrow!”, taking into consideration all of your previous bragging, don’t you have enough dignity to feel ashamed to show up with a website that looks like a four year old out-of-boredom drawing?
That design became surpassed by the middle 90’s. At least have enough respect for Vic as to not spew some retarded predictions of his earnings while questioning his credibility and whether he’s telling the truth to his viewers or not. Even if you were an expert, it ain’t you’re business. But since you don’t know shit, it’s REALLY none your business.
Be grateful that he allowed you brag around for so long without any reasonable foundation so you can try feeding your broken little ego.
The Truth urged to be spoken, and I’m its main PR manager.
Italian G says
Michelle, sorry for my late response. I glanced at this earlier today. Wasn’t interested & thought you were his PR manager. I was working at McDonalds at the fry cooker. However, I did think to myself, “I didn’t know Vic is an equal opportunity employer… I guess every office has a bitch”.
I actually e-mailed Vic and thought you were an employee. Sorry Vic. I should have known.
So here is the deal. You’re not worth my time sugar britches. Had you known, I actually wanted to post something better for Vic because I want to give the guy a little tribute. He thinks like a man and I have been on this site for four years as he will attest. What makes you think I would not have the dignity to shamelessly promote my blog http://www.alphaunderground.net I would NEVER use this site to be a bullshiter. I would do that at http://www.alphaunderground.net If I was actually, trying to get some traffic at http://www.alphaunderground.net/ Peace out homes. BET
You can have the last word as I am giving it to you princess.

Italian Gay, thank you for further proving your idiocy, lack of common sense, and more importantly, even the lack of ability to read properly and comprehend a simple sentence. Its alright, as that requires IQ over 80.
Here goes, I’ll make it reaaaal slow for you so you can get it. I’m t-h-e m-aa-i-n pr m-a-n-a-g-e-r of Truth – “its pr manager”, Vic is not “it” but “He” – third person singular, and therefore can’t be mistaken in that sentence by anyone with basic literacy. You’d know that if you finished elementary school and possessed intelligence of a monkey or slightly above.
The fact that you emailed Vic because you misunderstood the post and wasted his time is hilarious.
Promoting that digital feces that you call a “blog” ain’t the issue by itself, but claiming you’re anything else than a little bitch barking too loudly when your every word, action, and result proves that you are, requires being called out on it.
You did a good job at proving my point by your post, here’s a bone for you.
You’re dismissed.

pfff… dont want to bitch but you are one example of B&D copycat. the diet, the training etc. I just read one of your article on training that was exactly like body of spartan, 5×5 then 3 singles adding weight etc etc. When I read your material I know where the inspiration come from, its straight from VP.
Connor - SIMPLY KICKASS says
Which article is the one that is exactly like Body of a Spartan? I’ve been training for years, and I write what I’ve tried and give results. I’ve never followed Victors Body of a Spartan workouts to be completely honest, so I am interested in what routine I’ve wrote that is similar.
Yes Victor is the inspiration for my diet.. Because it works like a charm.
Thanks for the critique PM.

Victor,
Great content, as usual.
The best advice is shared, not created; only by improving yourself first can you become an authority on helping others. (At least in the context of personal development.)
Started my own project. Three more articles until I have enough content to retain readers; next steps will be 1) capturing emails + automatic post-to-email feature, 2) marketing and SEO, 3) improving site design beyond the merely functional.
Thanks for the inspiration,
Jack

So good to hear about isolating yourself – I returned from Asia last spring and did not, and still have not, got back in touch with my old friends and old life. I don’t want their judgement, their criticism or even worse, their advice.
The trouble is, I’m feeling pretty beat up by the “having to come back to work in an industry I hate” part of it, for money. I’ve still got my eye on the plan but it’s taking so long to get back on track – treading water becomes exhausting.
However, listening to you guys gives me the knowledge that I’m not a crazy person and that it’s the same path you two have been down.
Power to 2015, to you guys, to myself and to everyone else beating their way through the jungle.

It is worth having wise enemy than having a foolish friend. Someone who can tell you to your face that you suck when you really do suck is much better than a friend who will tell you otherwise in order to avoid hurting your feelings and trying to be nice on the surface. Distance yourself from “friends” that spread drama. Get rid of “friends” who make snide remarks, scathing sarcasm, hidden jealousy that are done in negative way, passive-aggressive folks. Hang out with people who will tell you real deal and prepare yourself to be able to handle truth and suck it up. Sometimes truth just needs to be told. Actions speak louder than words. Speak less and do more. Apply. Never stop learning and applying. Always have purpose in life and having something to strive for. Long term boredom is bad thing.
RJ says
Something I’ve noticed:
Many of you are still copying Victor and Mike. This has been pointed out by Chris on GLL recently. But he only talked about how their blogs are copying Victor and Mike’s style of blogging. He doesn’t mention something even more important:
Why are these people blogging at all?
Is that really what you should be doing? Is that really what you CAN do? Is that really what you even WANT to do? Granted, some people can do it and may even surpass Victor and Mike with their blogs, but most won’t.
Here are two people sharing their wisdom and resources with you and teaching you how to live the life that you want, to be successful, wealthy and free.
And what does every second comment on every article say?
“Hey Victor, you’re such an inspiration, I’ve just started my own blog and bla bla bla..”
Why not do your own thing? There’s most likely something you could do better, like the friend mentioned in this podcast who works in real estate. Why do you have to blog? Because Victor and Mike do it and you can’t think of anything original or unique to your abilities and strengths?
Why not just be YOU?
Remnant says
Totally agree and was thinking the same thing. Also, it does go beyond a mere focus on blogging to a very blinkered view of what one can blog about. The fact that Mike and Victor are — to oversimplify things — selling motivation does not mean that the takeaway from their blogs should be that you too should sell motivation. Mike and Victor are trying to motivate people to do what inspires them (and can also make money). That could be anything from developing a useful app, starting real world businesses that are scalable, e-commerce, etc etc. It is stunningly unimaginative and redundant to come away from BAD and D&P saying: “Yes, I will now become a motivator and tell people how to work out, diet and supplement!!”
People should be thinking about creating the next Uber, Twitter or Groupon, not the next BAD or D&P.
RJ says
Yes, exactly.
They are only taking the “Determined” and totally forgetting about being “Bold”.
“Determined” to be like Victor.
Being bold would require you to find your own way and make your own path, rather than simply playing it safe and following the path laid out by Victor and Mike.
If it’s not something you truly DESIRE, and you know in your gut that you do, if it isn’t an all consuming obsession then it won’t succeed.
Do what you want. Be a stand up comedian, start a chain of MMA gyms, get into real estate.
The only thing Victor and Mike do that you should emulate is SUCCEEDING.
Connor says
This right here is the most quintessential advice I’ve ever seen pertaining to making money online and being free.
Every blog I see come up that has any association with motivation, weight lifting, or making money online, I automatically close and never return to.
What most of these guys aren’t realizing is that they aren’t providing motivation or money advice, they are writing vague, actionless “short stories” which are (at their core) vicarious fiction stories about the lives they wish they were living, which in reality are just the lives of Vic, Mike, and Chris.
I don’t need your useless motivation. If I want motivation, I’ll come to the authority on motivation: Uncle Vic.
If you want to read some good up and coming blogs that aren’t Vic/Mike/Chris rip-off, check out these winners.

Great podcast Vic.
By the way, I’d be really interested in hearing you and Mike talk about something similar to the podcast that Mike made with Chris about college, early 20s, and breaking away from loser friends and breaking away from society, especially for the lone wolves around here. It’d be interesting to hear more about both you and Mike’s mindsets in your younger years, what made you break away from typical society (in more absolute and detailed terms), and how you’ve both managed to be extremely successful in life, with women, and in business even though you both don’t fit the typical “extroverted” successful guy cliche.
Thanks for changing lives and kicking ass.
Remnant says
“If you want to read some good up and coming blogs that aren’t Vic/Mike/Chris rip-off, check out these winners.”
You’re joking, right? These are generic red pill / pick-up / travel tales / start a business blogs that have been done ad nauseum and better by a wide range of people from Roosh to Naughty Nomad to Matt Forney etc etc etc.
Remnant says
Part of the trend to emulate (i.e. imitate) BAD and D&P, I believe, is a failure to see beyond the fame that the Internet can sometimes bring.
There is a certain allure to the (admittedly moderate) fame that Victor and Mike have achieved.
I don’t even think this is a conscious thing, but it does seem that many emulators are not looking at the money, the discipline, the focus, the fitness and other things Victor and Mike have both achieved: they are looking at the visibility and fame, and coming away with a sense that this is what success necessarily means.
In fact, most (not all) of the great business ideas that could work will be of a local and not particularly visible nature. Guys could get rich, independent, successful and be every bit “Da Man” that Mike and Victor are by:
— starting a chain of car washes in some city / county / region;
— starting a microbrewery chain and beer brand in a foreign (Asian) country where that culture is underdeveloped but growing;
— real estate and property management related stuff in foreign countries: e.g. old age / retirement homes (HUGE potential: Europeans who cannot afford retirement home in their own country but could in Thailand / Phillipines / etc.
— education: e.g. starting schools in third-world countries geared towards getting rich students to the US / UK / Australia;
— comprehensive ex-pat services in various third-world countries: cleaning, butler, driver, overall activity management.
These are random examples off the top of my head.
But the point is none of them will bring anything other than local or niche reknown, if that. The Victor and Mike wannabees are, at some perhaps unconscious level, only thinking about the public aspect to what these blogs achieved, and that is cutting them off from a wide realm of more realistic possibilities.
Starting a real world business presents a much greater world of options and potential for success. It won’t make you famous. But so what?
Victor Pride says
Excellent comment.
Remnant says
Thank you, Victor.
TheGreyWolf says
There is a difference between emulate and imitate. To imitate is to copy. To emulate is to try to equal, excel, or surpass.
I agree with you that too many try to imitate B&D, D&P, and GLL.
But that is not to say that they shouldn’t be emulated.
Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Degas, Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Picasso.
Those are, in chronological order, arguably the ten greatest painters in history. What if Rembrandt or Monet looked at the first three and said, “I cannot paint; it’s already been done.”
Ford, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge. Those are real people who all started a car company. There would be nothing but Fords were it not for emulation.
Can B&D, D&P, and GLL be emulated?
YES!
Can B&D, D&P, and GLL be imitated?
No. Not with any success.
And you are right, Remnant, the wanna-bees fail to see the discipline, the focus, and the fitness required to do what the 3 aforementioned great bloggers do to be successful. A lot of wanna-bees hit the easy button, start writing, and go straight for the visibility and fame.
You make a great point.
Brett says
To expand on Remnant’s comment, not only do many successful businesses fly “under the radar” insofar as the owners don’t make a big deal about their financial success, it is actually a requirement in today’s society to keep mum.
I started my first business in high school, and by age 29 had enough passive income off of my real estate holdings to retire. Only one “pre-retirement” friend knows I am retired; he and I are involved in a startup venture and he aspires to the same. To everyone else I am a “consultant” or “entrepreneur” or “professor” – I occasionally lecture at the university – but certainly not retired.
Jealousy runs rampant among the poor. I have been audited because of false information passed to authorities, had inspectors come in response to alleged violations at my properties, and am always involved in a lawsuit or three. It is a part of the game.
The only way I have found to keep those people at bay is to keep a low profile and occasionally make an example out of someone. I choose to drive a Ford instead of a Ferrari, and occasionally bankrupt an antagonist in court.
The only place where I can “be myself” as it were is around part of my family, my “pre-wealth” friend, and friends I’ve made in new social circles. Vic is correct when he says that money separates you from other people.
I joined a social club founded by some of the wealthiest businessmen in the region. It was created so that successful businessmen could be with others of their kind. When I tell my story there, I get advice from those who have surpassed me and questions from those who are a bit behind me.
And nobody in that crowd rolls their eyes when I announce I’m leaving town to travel for a while. Adding “for work” to the statement keeps scoffs from the maintenance man and landscaper to a minimum when I tell them what I want to see done in my absence.
Connor says
No, I’m not joking. Aaron from F&F is a 21 year old guy straight out of University who overcame introversion, explores psychedelics, and moved to Vietnam to start a drop shipping business. Illimitable Men is an incredibly astute man who is extremely well educated and has read a plethora of books. He writes in an extremely articulate, wordy style, but I still like it.
This is trouble is indeed RP/”pick up”, but it’s interesting to see a 22 year old guy make a transformation from never being laid in high school/drinking until he was 21 change into a guy who gets a good amount of sex.

Riz, I just checked out your blog.
Guitars, atheism, psychedelics, marijuana: your blog covers a variety of topics that I find intriguing (being a beginning guitar player as well with interest in psychedelics, marijuana, as well as being an atheist). I signed up for the free e-book, I’ll read it in the coming days.
I think you’d love Joe Rogan and Duncan Trussell if you don’t already listen to their podcasts or know anything about Joe Rogan. Joe is an extremely hilarious, badass dude who does stand-up as well as advocates marijuana legalization. He also talks about his many trips on shrooms, LSD, and his experiences when smoking DMT. I just came across this site after I surfed the web on topics relating to what I call the ‘pussification’ of the American male. A subject that has concerned me for a long time especially when I have seen evidence of it among my extended family. These days males are taught to abdicate their roles as men in order to become more sensitive and in tune with their feelings. Among other things, now we men are supposed to give hugs instead of handshakes? What’s that all about? Every white male has been ridiculed and demeaned by the media and educational system for decades. It has driven me nuts for too long Here (this site) is an oasis of truth in a vast wasteland of lies. Those who I’ve sent assorted links to of this site–my friends and acquaintances– those who have drank the koolaid of male inferiority and political correctness and all that comes with it— have responded with glimmers of — ‘hey–ain’t that the truth’. I’m 65 going on 39—I learned years ago that in order to fight the onslaught of lies and degradation you must be physically strong–not just ‘fit’.
Victor–I know you teach a message of making money and being self-sufficient but I most appreciate you setting the public straight on what a real man should be— as they used to say—“men are men and the women are glad of it.”
Keep up the good work!

Another great post, Victor. In the last year or so, I’ve managed to continue the work I used to do in a workplace to now working from home. It’s still the same work and I’m working for someone else, but it was a step in the right direction. I could work my own hours and it gave me more free time to work on my own projects.
Now, the next step is to work for myself and live the life I want to live. Doing what others won’t do now, so that I can do what they can’t later.
Thank you for the inspiration and wisdom over the last few years.

I’m on my way to STEM career so blogging is not really my style but there is a pattern which I have recognized and that is people are trying to be like VP especially their blogs are literally altered versions of B&D. I’m no expert on the topic like I said but I read lot of books, and they all have one thing in common they are unique and introduce me to new ideas so just a word of friendly advice why not do the same with thing your blogs?
Jack says
Why should a STEM focus prohibit you from blogging?
I’m a physics / engineering major and currently manage both. The only limitation is time constraints, and even then, WordPress allows you to schedule posts through your exam blocks / projects. All that matters is a passion to blog about and the ability to express your thoughts coherently; the other skills can be built over time.
Check out my last comment on January 27th. I said I would do three things:
1) Capture emails and install new post to email functionality.
2) Marketing and SEO.
3) Improving my site design drastically.
I accomplished all of those tasks in just two days, and *still* had time for about 10 hours of electrodynamics study and spending a night drinking and making scones with my girlfriend. If blogging *genuinely* isn’t your style, that’s fine… you just seemed to discount it a little too casually.

Seems the old grab and go on the motorbikes is among their biggest.. But compare that to places like Detroit, Ferguson, St. Louis, Chicago and so many others and it seems like a walk in the park! Would be awesome to read an article one day of the comparisons of living in south east asia compared to America.. I always enjoy the pictures and the commentary you put up of those places.Very happy you are doing well..

Hey Victor, I was wondering at around what AGE you “snapped out” of the old 9-5 lifestyle you were living in, and consciously chose to become a winner. Seeing how you said you’re around 30 right now, and you blog started sometime around 2011, my guess is when you were like 25 or something. Is this true? I’m a big fan of Vic, but not so much of Mike. Sorry, but I’ve read his website, his purported credentials, etc., and I smell BS. Not being a hater, but as a fellow California lawyer, I’m not sure he is all that he claims to be. Simply put, if I were as smart as Mike purports to be, I would never have gone to a TTT (“third tier toilet”) like Pepperdine.Law. Also, Mike, care to provide cites to the federal district court cases where the judges cited to your writings?

A fuller life is had when both mind and body are developed to their potential.
A weak body limits the mind. And a weak mind limits the body.
Jack Lalanne accomplished more after 70 than most people do their whole lives.
I’m 53, 70lbs left to lose, overweight most of my life, diabetic, multiple pulmonary embolisms, Bells Palsey, the list goes on.
What’s the point?
I’m not dead.
I’m better today than I was yesterday, and I’m not as good as I will be tomorrow.
One more rep to perform, one more pound to lift, one less calorie to consume…whatever it takes. I am getting better every day.
If your ONLY reason to get fit is to look good, then don’t bother. You’re shallow.
The world needs men of character and integrity; strong of mind AND body. We have enough pretty boys.
Victor Pride uses his body as a platform to do everything else he does. B&D is not just a fitness blog.
And David C, if that makes me an ass-kisser in your mind, you may be fighting the loneliness you feel in your closet. It might be time to come out…

Red is green. I love that. The bleeding on the page concept is so true. Every blog or book I’ve ever really connected with has been because the author showed the struggle they came from and the success they are now. It seems so obvious when you put it like that, that you need to bleed on the page and show people who you really are if you want to make a difference.
Great interview.

So much for Victor’s well-groomed–dress for success beliefs–Mike looks like a Bum.

Hi, Victor — Is there truly no way for you to supply a download link on B&D? I don’t have (or want) a membership to iTunes or Soundcloud.
I thought it couldn’t hurt to ask. Thanks!
Chris
Victor Pride says
You don’t have to have a membership with soundcloud, just hit the download button and it will download.
Chris says
Awesome. Thank you.

Hey Victor,
Great stuff as usual.
Like a lot of guys on here seem to be, I’m also working on establishing myself well enough financially so that I too can maintain a mobile lifestyle and financial freedom. I’ve spent some time in SEA before and could easily see myself settling down over there, or at least spending a few years there.
If I understand correctly, you recently got yourself a mansion over there, with hired help and staff for BADNET, etc.? I’m curious if that has affected the “mobility” of your lifestyle. Do the bills and other costs of maintaining this sort of “base of operations” make traveling a little bit more difficult for you? What I’m really wondering is whether or not you feel that living nomadically and working from coffee shops, etc. OR establishing one solid base of operations is a better strategy for this kind of entrepreneurial lifestyle.
-Tyson Wolf
Victor Pride says
I have never lived nomadically and I do not recommend it. It’s always better to have a base. I’ve always had a base and I’ve always been able to travel freely.
Tyson Wolf says
I see. Didn’t realize you were situated to a specific location during the time you spent in other SEA countries. Guess I’ll have to spend some time looking into real estate options over there when the time comes. Thanks VP.

Here is something that happened and I would like to know how you would have handled it. I think I don’t handled it very well.
About 9 months ago, I land a usb key to a guy who is in the same college class than me. He was supposed to give it back to me a few days later. I still don’t have it back today. I told him at least 6 times to give it back. Now, here is how he was disrespectful to me. As the end of the year approached (it’s officially today) and before we goes on internships all around the world, I needed my usb key back. He told me numerous time he would give it back « tomorrow ». Then he began saying to me that I should go to his house (1 hour from mine) to get it back. I said no. You are the one who has to give it back to me. Then he told me he lost it. He kept on telling me he would bring it « tomorrow ». Today was the last day I was in town and he told me how he couldn’t go to college today so I had to go to his home instead of doing important stuff I had to do and spend around 10$ on train ticket (which is a lot to me). He said to me « come you will help me find it ». I was supposed to go get my own usb key and find it because he lost it. When I got to his home, it was a mess. Food, smoken cigarettes on the floor…he told me its because he searched for my usb key. First thing he told me was that its my fault : last time I told him to give it back it was 3 weeks ago so I could have tell him sooner (I did, around 3 or 4 times). He yelled at me, saying that it was my key’s fault : it is so hard to find it. I told him to give me money (it is an expensive usb key) but he didn’t have any and his bank account was empty. I told him to buy another one and to give it to me at the end of the internship even though I really needed it for my internshit(i’m in big trouble because i don’t have any usb key now). All along I could tell he was joking with me. I told him I would beat him if he didn’t give it back after the internship but he didn’t take it seriously. Truth is, I don’t know how to fight and I’m skinny. So I’m going to work-out and take boxing lessons to really beat him if he doesn’t bring it back. I only have one word and this sucker is going to understand that.
Victor Pride says
I wouldn’t have been in your situation in the first place.

You know, ever since I found this blog, people have slowly been coming into focus for the first time in my entire life. I can look into people’s eyes, observe their body language, and read between the lines of their words and see their real intent.
In the past, I used to (falsely) believe that everyone’s struggles were noble and righteous and that whatever material or internal wealth was directly a result of their “luck” or “fortune”. I used to (wrongly) believe like my father that sometimes, you “just have to settle” with whatever hand it is you are dealt in life, put your head down, and grind out your 9-5 day (and even weekends) to continue living a somewhat extravagant life, all in an effort to distance yourself from the pain of reality.
I used to believe that money was not related to happiness whatsoever and falsely believed that if I got a job as an artist for a corporation and made $60-80k a year, I’d at least be happy with my “work” and that’s all that mattered.
Boy, was I wrong.
I come from a toxic environment. My dad is a no good bum of a loser with a well above average paying job but no soul. He works every day throughout the entire week, usually weekends as well, has to travel either to Mexico or across the US every week, and is so brainwashed that he can’t even see the idiocy of it all. As a result of this, he has horrible anger issues/is overall just sad (something I’ve come to recognize due to my enlightening with your blog). I grew up with him telling me I was useless, that I didn’t deserve anything, that I wouldn’t be anybody, and that without A+ grades in school that I’d never have success in life.
The only time he’d compliment me was when I made good grades in school or did good in sports.
(Because of this blog, I’ve observed his parents [my grandparents] and have noticed that he picks up his pessimistic, idiotic view of the world from my grandpa. They are both the type of people who find the negative in everything. For example, back when I was fat as a kid, my dad would put me down for eating so much food. Then when I went on a diet and lost my fat, he would put me down for putting him out of his way to buy healthy food and for me ‘starving myself’… haha!).
Back when I was a young kid, his words really effected me. They made me develop some horrible self confidence issues.
However, (as I’ve said in another comment), I found your blog last August and life has never been the same.
Just recently I had a conversation with my Uncle and for the first time, I saw a man in his eyes and could actually see a soul: he wasn’t empty.
He gave me some of the best advice I have ever received, and for that I am forever grateful.
Just a few days ago, I was eating dinner with my family when my dad started to tell me that I would never go to college (I don’t even particularly want to go), and that he won’t be paying for me when I’m poor. (This was because he saw that I was getting B’s and C’s in math and science).
I try to stay composed and just ignore what he says, but generally I end up laughing (only to make him more mad). So of course, I laughed a little bit and went on my way, but his consistent pestering made me tell him that I wasn’t going to end up as sad and pathetic as him.
Sometimes in life, you just have to acknowledge that no one is on your side, not even your family.
I can safely say: fuck my family.
Fuck them all.
Fuck all of my old friends.
Fuck opinions of losers.
Sadly I have about a year left in this toxic household, but I’ll be out soon.
Baby, life is beautiful. You knocked off my rose colored glasses and showed me the truth.
I hope to one day have a friend in real life as badass and pivotal to my life as you’ve been and continue to be to mine.
Uncle Vic, thank you.

I just bought your boas ebook. Excellent material. Do you think if I follow your routine for beginners and eat 1 to 2 meals a day to lose 20 pounds of fat is a great idea or not? or should I eat 5 times a day to get ripped like you did and wrote on victorpride.com? thank you..

I ran into D&P before I ventured on here, but as with most things in my life, I found it at the right time. I am chugging along, slowly but surely. The process of blogging requires a lot of reworking. I am about to roll into my third revision.
I have been appealing to losers. I am transparent, but I have been writing with the intent with appealing to a broader base. Now I realize that is fucking stupid. There is no reason to appeal to people who are complacent, and that is the broad base.
Hard work is really just being consistent. Eating the elephant one bite at a time.

Mr Pride, you don’t sound like Batman, more like Fat Tony from The Simpsons. I always find it valuable to witness a meeting of valuable minds and this was a great example of that. Now that I’ve found this, I’ll be listening repeatedly to bed the principles into what’s between my ears.
Victor Pride says
haha! Been a long time since I’ve seen the Simpsons, I had to youtube to remember what Fat Tony sounded like.
