    • Comments: In the days before Palpatine's Empire began its reign of terror, the Galactic Republic governed the affairs of the galaxy from the capital of Couruscant. In addition, the city-planet was also the seat of the legendary 12-member Jedi Council. Wisdom and experience were equally as important as abilities in the Force among the Jedi Council members. For this reason, Mace Windu, a senior member of the Jedi Council, was especially honored and revered throughout the Galactic Republic.

    Points of Interest:
  • Offered by Hasbro as a mail in promotion, it was designed to help clear the shelves of tons of slow moving figures in anticipation of the Classic Eight and Prequel releases. The offer was limited to five per household and each required six POP's and a receipt for six Hasbro Star Wars toys dated between 10/1/98 and 12/31/98.
  • The head, body, and lightsaber from this figure were all later used for an official Episode I version of the figure, with a wrap-around cloak.
