Marawe, Sudan, Rajab 12, 1438, Apr 9, 2017, SPA -- President Omar Hasan Al-bashier of The Sudan attended today the closing session of the Saudi Sudanese Blue Shield joint air maneuver, held at Martyr General Captain Awadh Khalafallah air base in the Sudanese city of Marawe, some 300 km north of capital Khartoum.
Major General Pilot Staff Mohammed Saleh al-Otaibi, Commander of the SRAF and Ali bin Hasan Jaafar, Saudi ambassador to Sudan, a number of SRAF senior officers and a number of senior personalities of The Republic of Sudan also attended the event.
A sort of Sudanese Mig 29, Sokhoi 24 and Sokhoi 25 as well as Saudi F15 C, Typhoon, Hawk fighters took part in the drill.
Al-Bashier awarded the Commander of the Saudi Royal Air Force with Al-Nilain Medal Class I and a number of Saudi officers Al-Jadarah (merit) medal in recognition of their participation and performance in the event.
