Sylvania Historical Village and Heritage Center Museum brings the history of our Northwest Ohio region to life. An interactive museum with both permanent and changing exhibits, the Village hosts concerts, lectures, student field trips, family days and other special events throughout the year. The Heritage Center Museum is also home to the Sylvania Area Historical Society library and archives, a research destination for schoolchildren, family historians and academics.

Hours

Heritage Center Museum Is Closed Mid - December through the end of February.
     •    Saturdays:  1 – 4 p.m.
     •    Sundays:  1 – 4 p.m.

Historical Village Buildings
NEW in 2017: The Historical Village is open to the public on the first Saturdays of each month from May until October.  The Hours are 1 - 4 and there is no admission for this event. Open by appointment for school and adult tours.

The Lathrop House

The Lathrop House is open Sundays April through early November from 1:00 - 4:00 PM.  We are also open for tours by student and adult groups at other times by special arrangement.

Directions

The Sylvania Historical Village is located on Main Street behind Element 112 Restaurant a few hundred feet north of the intersection of North Main Street and Maplewood in downtown Sylvania.

The Heritage Center Museum is located at 5717 Main Street directly across from Reeb Funeral Home.

The Lathrop House is located at the edge of Harroun Park on Main Street just south of the intersection of Main Street and Monroe Street.  Enter the parking lot for Harroun Park directly across from St. Joseph Catholic Church.  The House is located at the far end of the parking lot.
