Our nurses will come to your home to perform your wound care and to teach you or a caregiver to perform the care, safely and effectively. Not all wound care is covered by your insurance but here are some examples of the types of wounds that usually require the skills of a nurse:

  • Open wounds that are draining
  • Wounds with a drain or T-tube
  • Wound that require irrigation or instillation of a sterile cleansing or medicate solution
  • Recently debrided ulcers
  • Pressure sores or decubitus ulcers
  • Wounds requiring negative pressure therapy (wound vacs)
