mesoxeric to mesic, calciphile (on limestones or basalts) or on grasslands developed on marls

Transylvanian species(eastern part of the Apuseni Mountains, Transylvanian Basin)

Stipio pulcherrimae-Festucion pallentis, Asperulo capitatae - Seslerietum rigidae, Helictotrichetum decori, Festuco-Brometea, Arrhenatheretalia (rare situations, but sometimes large populations)

R34 habitats, rarer in R38 on marls

 

 

 

One of the most typical Transylvanian endemics. It is not a rare species within its totally regional restricted range.
