Biography
Eftali Ndreu (Papathanasi) was born in Tirana on January 10, 1955. She studied at the Artistic School "Jordan Misja" with Gjovalin Lazri and she took part in all the activities organized by school. By the years 1973-1978 she continued her studies at the Academy of Arts with Gjergj Antoniu and she finished with excellent results.
After the studies she was a cello teacher at the Artistic School "Jordan Misja" where she worked until 1990. During this period she took an active part in concerts given in important halls as the Union of Writers and Artists, the Theatre of Opera and Ballet, the Palace of Culture and recordings at the Albanian Radio TV.
In 1990 she immigrated with her family in Argentina, where she currently lives and works. In Argentina she continues her activity as a teacher and cellist in different orchestras of Buenos Aires, recitals and concerts in important halls of the capital. With her tireless work and interpretations with high artistic level she has become well known personality in the artistic circles of Buenos Aires. In 1997 she won first prize and gold medal in contest promotions organized by Associazione Promozione Musicale. She is also invited by the Association of Composers of Argentina to interpret for the first time their works and has given concert in the Theatre National Salon of Arts which is one of the five largest theaters in the world. She has also given concerts in different cities of the country as in Cordoba, Arrecifes, Jujuy, Santiago del Estero, Santa Rosa and others.
She has given concerts directly by the Classical Radio and Radio Cultura.
As a soloist debuted on: Gilded Salón, Recoleta Cultural Center, in Private and State Conservatory. In 1999, thanks to a TV program of Channel 13 in Argentina, she managed to come after nine years of exile in her country to meet her family, which through a concert at the Palace of Culture in Tirana became the parents, loving people and her colleagues, a program that was on channel 13 eu diretta seen by millions of Argentine.
Her desire was to be interpreted as a soloist accompanied by orchestra and that became reality. In December of 2005 under the direction of Carlos Bertaza playing with the Libertador San Martín Symphony Orchestra in the auditorium of the Faculty of Law Magna, Concerto in A minor by Saint-Saëns, in December 2007 playing the Roccoco Variations by Chaikovsky with the Symphony Orchestra of the Argentine Catholic University (UKA), and in July of 2010 with the Symphony Orchestra of Avellaneda, playing the Concerto in C Major by Haydn.
She is also member of the Orchestra National Arts University (IUNA), Orchestra Juventus Lyrica, and Symphony Orchestra of Avellaneda.
