Brie Welch lives in a sunny apartment where Chinatown meets the Lower East Side, and she insists the quietly buzzing energy of her street is more than meets the eye. “It’s the specific intersection where I live that’s special,” the stylist explains. “There’s a tight community of friends and friends’ businesses congregating and supporting each other.” One such friend and neighbor is furniture designer and photographer Ana Kraš, who captured Welch spending a day in The Row. “I’m quite keen on collaborating with women within the industry, and if it can be a very talented friend of mine, even better,” says Welch. “Ana has a certain ease about her photographs, and I knew it would be simple and beautiful to work together.”

The ease of Kraš was apt for capturing the The Row’s Pre-Fall collection of ready-to-wear and shoes—a collection that exemplifies the understated sophistication for which the brand is known. “The Row has a timeless sensibility and sophistication that I’ve always admired and aspired to maintain in my own wardrobe,” says Welch. “The footwear is particularly desirable: elegant yet practical, and still somehow impossibly chic.”
