Before working as an instructor under renowned yoga guru Bharat Thakur, Anushka completed her Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) at the Mount Carmel College in Bangalore. Impressed by her looks and screen-presence, Akkineni Nagarjuna roped in the beauty for his 2005 heist-thriller Super. While Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia played the main heroine, the Mangalore bombshell appeared as the second lead actress Sasha. Despite being a newcomer, she played the complex role to perfection and looked ravishing in all the songs.
