We Live In A Society: The Movie
Uhhh why was the pacing so off for this? There's like no room for breathing when it's like 50 soundbites back to back
The Mad Max Fury Road trailer set to classical music
dude needs to make another film ASAP, it's been a decade and he's only made one more short.
the moshpit that happened at this gig for Wide Awake! was hilarious
The pacing of this film is beyond atrocious. It made for an incredibly long, boring slasher flick. It’s so unfortunate since aside from Jake Gyllenhaal, the acting talent is totally squandered. I did like the post-death scene on Toni Collette though. I expected the film to be more of a black comedy in that sense but all we really got was making fun of pretentious art critics. I came in really wanting to like this movie, but it all felt so phoned in and bland.
it's bizarre not only how much it looks like a netflix TV show, but feels like one too. The pacing was so off I googled to see if it was cut down from a TV series ala Buster Scruggs
I was really hoping for some fresh blood to take over. Don't really love the McQuarrie MI's (Fallout and Rogue Nation are both... fine) and I don't really see him changing his approach to making these that result in a lumpy finished product.
Which MI installments do you prefer? It's not every day you see an MI fan who doesn't love the last two, so I gotta ask.
Ghost Protocol's the favourite, mainly because it's the last one that doesn't feel completely reverse engineered around the action set pieces while still having the insane stuntwork.
