Pranav and Kalyani teaming up for Vineeth Sreenivasan's 'Hridayam' excites Mohanlal-Priyadarshan-Sreenivasan fans

were in for a treat today as it was announced that the two are collaborating for

directed 'Hridayam'. Mohanlal, Priyadarshan and

are a hit trio from the 90s and now their children are now collaborating. Filmmaker Priyadarshan has worked with

and Sreenivasan in hits like 'Akkare Akkare Akkare', 'Chithram', 'Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu', 'Thenmavin Kombath' etc.

Following their footsteps, Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Vineeth are now collaborating for 'Hridayam'. Mohanlal announced the big news through his social media handle. Pranav and Kalyani have earlier worked together for Priyadarshan directorial 'Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham', which is yet to release. However Vineeth Sreenivasan directorial will be Pranav and Kalyani’s first official movie as a pair, since the duo made a cameo appearance in 'Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham'. 'Hridayam' also marks the comeback of most famous production company Merryland Cinemas, after a gap of 30 years. Visakh Subramaniam is bankrolling the project under the banner of Merryland Cinemas. The movie will start rolling soon and is expected to hit the screens during Onam 2020.

Mohanlal and Priyadarshan's friendship dates years back and they have worked on as many as 40 films. From rib-tickling buddy comedies like 'Akkare Akkare Akkare' and 'Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu', to heart-touching movies like 'Chithram' and 'Minnaram', Mohanlal-Priyadarshan combo has worked wonders in Malayalam cinema. The duo is currently working on historic drama, 'Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham'.
