Organization
The Eleventh Air Force plans, conducts, controls and coordinates air operations in accordance with the tasks assigned by the commander, Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), and is the force provider for Alaskan Command (ALCOM), the Alaskan North American Aerospace Defense Command Region (ANR) and other unified commanders. This mission is accomplished largely through the 673d Air Base Wing, 3rd Wing, 354th Fighter Wing, 611th Air and Space Operations Center and 611th Air Support Group. Together, they provide a network of critical air surveillance and command, control and communications functions necessary to perform tactical warning and attack assessment in defense of Alaska.

354th Fighter Wing, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska
The 354 FW mission is to prepare U.S. and allied aviation forces for combat, to deploy Airmen in support of global operations, and to enable the staging of forces to promote U.S. interests in the Asia-Pacific region. As the U.S. Air Force's most northern operational wing, the 354 FW also hosts Air Education and Training Command's Arctic Survival School. The 354th Fighter Wing is made up of:

611th Air and Space Operations Center (AOC)
The 611 AOC consists of three divisions that develop plans, procedures, and directives for the employment of Alaskan combat and support forces assigned to PACAF and North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). They maintain air sovereignty and conduct air defense operations for ANR. Additionally, they direct rescue operations and provide tactical support for air and land forces.
611th Combat Operations Division (COD)
The 611 COD consists of five teams: Defensive Operations, Integration, Interface, Airspace and Weather.
· The Defensive Operations Team provides the core staff of the AOC Operations Floor supporting NORAD, NORTHCOM and PACAF. They provide regional expertise for the command and control system that supports air sovereignty and air defense missions.
· The Integration Team performs the C4 Systems integration for the AOC. The team is the liaison point between operations and the communications focal point within the AOC, and is responsible for maintaining operational expertise in space and specific aircraft operations. Additionally, the Integration Team is responsible for the management of the Special Technical Operations team within the AOC.
· The Interface Team manages the Multi-Tactical Data Link network for Alaska. They are responsible for overall planning and management of all data link activity within ANR. Additionally, they provide operational management and oversight of all data link operations, and build, plan, and publish guidelines for the region.
· The Airspace Team provides requirements planning for Alaskan air-to-ground weapons ranges and military training airspace. The unit provides liaison with the FAA and validates Operational Support Airlift.
· The Weather Team provides mission tailored, operational, and tactical level meteorological, geological, oceanographic, and space environment products and services for the AOC and Rescue Coordination Center in the Alaska region. They provide headquarters staff support to the ALCOM, Joint Task Force-Alaska (JTF-AK), 11 AF, PACAF, and U.S. Army Alaska (USARAK).
611th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Division (ISR)
The 611 ISR provides all source intelligence to support the AOC's joint and combined air campaign planning and execution. The division produces timely and operationally tailored all-source global threat warning and assessments supporting PACAF and NORAD theater plans and force employment.
611th Strategy and Plans Division (SPD)
The 611 SPD serves as the focal point for all matters related to the operation, planning, and execution of the ANR mission. They develop deliberate plans and employment procedures for Alaskan forces assigned to 11 AF, PACAF, NORAD and U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) supporting Operations NOBLE EAGLE (ONE) and NORTHERN SOVEREIGNTY Operations (NSO). SPD coordinates operations planning with NORAD, JTF-AK and tasked supporting units.
611th Air Support Group (ASG)
The 611 ASG is responsible for the second largest but most geographically widespread "cumulative base" in PACAF, comprising 1,119 facilities and 37,110 acres; valued at over $4.2B. The 19 active installations managed by the 611 ASG consists of Eareckson Air Station, the forward operating location (FOL) at King Salmon airport (with collocated radar site), 14 additional remote radar sites and 3 radio relay stations. In addition to the active installations, the 611 ASG also manages 21 inactive sites. The 611 ASG provides surveillance radars, arctic infrastructure including airfields, communications, and worldwide ready Expeditionary Air Force warriors for homeland defense, decisive force projection and aerospace command and control in Alaska. All of these efforts are achieved through the activities of the 611th Air Support Squadron, 611th Civil Engineer Squadron and 611th Air Communications Squadron which collectively provide program management, communications, engineering, logistical and environmental support.
611th Air Support Squadron (ASUS)
The 611 ASUS manages three of PACAF's largest operations and maintenance (O&M;) contracts worth $82M for Eareckson Air Station, the FOL at King Salmon airport, 15 remote radar sites (including the radar located at King Salmon airport) and 3 radio relay stations. The squadron provides/directs quality assurance for logistics, force protection, services, communications and facility engineering efforts at these 19 remote locations. The 611 ASUS also supports 11 AF logistics planning and contingency operations, directs delivery of 8 million gallons of fuel annually to all remote sites and ensures safe and reliable transportation of over 5,000 passengers and 2,700 tons of equipment and supplies annually.
611th Civil Engineer Squadron (CES)
The 611 CES provides engineer service functions at all 40 (active and inactive) sites throughout Alaska. The 611 CES assures environmental compliance within 59,000 square miles of military operations air space and provides, as a command resource, specialized capability in aircraft hangar door maintenance and repair; asbestos and lead abatement; depot overhaul and certification of emergency power engine-generator sets and aircraft arresting systems; construction of Super K-Span facilities; as well as crane and hoist repair and certification. The 611 CES provides facility support to the three O&M; contracts and also manages $61.8M in facility requirements.
611th Air Communications Squadron (ACOMS)
The 611 ACOMS serves as the focal point for all command, control, communications, and computers (C4) support for ANR and 11 AF. Key functions include theater long-haul communications, radar systems communications, circuit management, network operations and configuration control. Additionally, the unit performs Meteorological Navigational (METNAV) certifications for airfields throughout the theater, as well as Defense Red Switch Network, Communications Security (COMSEC) and frequency spectrum management support. In addition to providing communications planning and programming support to the three O&M; contracts, the 611 ACOMS also manages $22M in communications requirements. The 611 ACOMS also provides direct communications support to the 611 AOC - 24/7 battle staff crisis action operation center.
