FIMMPOD Postdoctoral and Senior Researcher Recruitment

FIMMPOD assists FIMM group leaders in recuiting outstanding researchers. Recruitment of postdoctoral and senior researchers occurs through the FIMMPOD Annual Call for Postdoctoral Researchers (in October) and FIMMPOD Call for Expressions of Interest (in April).  Postdoctoral researchers are also selected through the EMBL EI3POD programme.  More information on these calls can be found below. 

As well as organising recruitment calls, FIMMPOD also offers financial assistance with relocation from abroad to those recruited via the FIMMPOD annual call. Newly recruited postdoctoral and senior researchers are automatically enrolled in the FIMMPOD professional development programme upon joining FIMM. 

Please note that the University of Helsinki International Staff Services offer relocation advice, orientation, training and various activities to facilitate a smooth transition into the University of Helsinki community. They also have a useful relocation check list on their website.

Annual Call for Postdoctoral and Senior Researchers 2018

The 2018 FIMMPOD Annual Call for Postdocs is now open. We are now seeking applications for two postdoctoral researcher positions in the areas of 1) computational systemns medicine and 2) epigenetics of complex diseases and traits. Annual Call for Postdoctoral and Senior Researchers 2017

The 2017 FIMMPOD Annual Call for Postdocs is now open, this year again as part of a wider Nordic EMBL Partnership Annual Call!  We are seeking applications for   multiple postdoctoral researcher positions in the areas of 1) computational systems medicine, 2) quantitative systems pharmacology and 3) translational research and personalized medicine and 4) at the Centre of Excellence in Complex Disease Genetics. 2017 Call for Expressions of Interest

for Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowships with FIMM

We welcome expressions of interest from promising postdoctoral candidates to apply for an MSCA Individual Fellowship with a FIMM research group host.  More information about MSCA Individual Fellowships is available here. Candidates are invited to express their interest in a host group at FIMM by filling in the online application form. The deadline for expressions of interest is 16 May 2017 and selections by interested FIMM hosts will be completed during June and July 2017.  The MSCA Individual Fellowship application deadline is 14 September 2017.

We welcome expressions of interest from promising postdoctoral candidates to apply for MSCA Individual Fellowships with a FIMM research group host.  More information about MSCA Individual Fellowships is available here. Candidates were invited to express their interest in a host group at FIMM. Selections by interested FIMM hosts will be completed during June and July 2016.  MSCA Individual Fellowship application deadline is 14 September 2016.

Annual Call for Postdoctoral and Senior Researchers 2015

One of FIMMPOD's goals is to ease the path of postdoctoral and senior researcher recruitment for group leaders. Therefore, FIMMPOD organizes for FIMM group leaders an annual call for postdoctoral and senior researchers. The first call opened in August 2014 and we are now pleased to open the call for 2015. This year, we are seeking applications for four postdoctoral researcher positions in computational biology, personalized medicine, and cancer chemical systems medicine.

EMBL-EI3POD

EI3POD is a Marie Curie Sklodowska COFUNDED postdoctoral fellowship program at the EMBL.  The fellowship and training program builds on the success of the previous interdisciplinary postdoctoral program at the EMBL (EIPOD).  EI3POD comprises three career modules:  Interdisciplinary, International (Inter-institutional), and Intersectoral, which consititute the three I's.  FIMM participates as a member of the network of institutionalized parternships, with the option of hosting collaborative projects with the EMBL.  The EI3POD program runs 2015-2020.

2015 Call for Expressions of Interest

for Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowships with FIMM

This call focused on finding promising candidates to apply for MSCA Individual Fellowships with FIMM research groups as the host. These fellowships are for postdoctoral researchers; more information about MSCA Individual Fellowships is available here. Candidates were invited to express their interest in a host group at FIMM no later than 15 May 2015 at 17.00 EEST by completing an online application form. Selections were completed during June and July 2015.
