The 1975's latest album A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships has been out for a few months now, and its accompanying music videos have been out even longer, allowing hardcore fans to dissect every lyric and every frame. But even the most eagle-eyed fans don't catch everything, and on Monday (February 25) the band's singer Matty Healy sat down to give running commentary on all the videos, and point out details that may have flown under the radar for some.

He began with the album's lead single and first video, "Give Yourself a Try." “I wanted to capture the excitement and the kind of frenetic energy that was in ‘Love Me,'" Healy explained, referring to the band's 2016 single. He revealed that his eccentric orange-haired, purple eye shadowed look was inspired by Lady Gaga, and the mirrored performance scene was a metaphor for self-reflection, which was something Healy was exploring during the making of the record.

The video for A Brief Inquiry's second single, "TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME" is the singer's favorite to watch. He loves it for its honesty and sincerity, explaining that it captures the natural energy of the room.

“It was very, very, very, very difficult making this video," Healy confessed when it came to "Love It If We Made It." "Not because it was hard to look at—because it was hard to get right.” Because of the song's subject matter, the band had to be careful when it came to crossing the line. They didn't want to be provocative, but they also felt the need to show the shocking stuff they were singing about.

"Sincerity Is Scary" is full of even more easter eggs than we realized, and between the pianos falling and the dance scenes, Healy found it funny people thought the CGI part was when he does the soccer trick (he proved that's not the case).

"It's Not Living (If It's Not With You)" was the last video to be rolled out, but it was actually filmed the night before "Sincerity." Healy dove into the video's special effects (or lack thereof), explaining how he wanted to do things more old school.
