Description
However, one of the coolest things is the ability to automatically sync your Windows Live Calendar to Windows Calendar on Vista. If you're not using Outlook's calendar on your home PC running Vista, the built-in Windows Calendar may be what you're using for your personal appointments and family schedules. Since Windows Live Calendar allows you to share out your calendar in .ics format, you can then subscribe to your Windows Live calendar in Vista's Windows Calendar. This means that changes to your Live Calendar automatically get synced back to your PC in Windows Calendar. See a step-by-step video of how to do this here. (Thanks to the Vista blog for this last tip!)

Hey Now Sarah,
Wow, This was the first time I saw this. This is great since I'm so used to Outlook & this calendar is web based. I'll have to make a choice if I'll use this or google calendar. It may take some time to switch over but it'll be worth it. As always
Thx 4 the info,

Disappointingly, it does not seem to work both ways. If you do changes to your Vista Calendar, they are not reflected in Windows Live Calendar. Thus the "Smart Client" on the desktop is relegated to just a viewer. I hope this will be fixed in later updates, after all it is still a beta product.
