Description: | Small, flat-topped, rocky island, 5 m high, lying 0.8 mi SSW of Dartmouth Point in Moraine Fjord, South Georgia. The island appears on earlier charts, but the name was given by Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in 1951 following a sketch survey. The feature is one of a group in the vicinity named after the chemical stain used in the preparation of histological examination of spcimens collected by Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS). |
