On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I look forward to welcoming you to the stunningly beautiful setting of Queenstown for ICOLS 2019. The conference will be held at the Rydges Hotel on the shores of Lake Wakatipu with the aptly named mountain backdrop of The Remarkables.
Historically ICOLS has been the venue for a number of landmark announcements in the development of precision measurement and control in atomic systems. With this year’s ICOLS coming shortly after the implementation of exciting changes in the definition of the SI Base Units, I am sure this will be true once more.
Importantly ICOLS is more than a conference, it is a supportive, evolving community. I therefore look forward to seeing many friends, whether old or brand new, in New Zealand in July 2019.
