Jon Stewart brought back a battalion of former correspondents for the final episode of The Daily Show — Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Ed Helms and Olivia Munn among them — but one stood out as a a surprise: Wyatt Cenac.

Last month, during an interview with Marc Maron on the WTF podcast, Cenac revealed he and Stewart had gotten into a heated argument about race because of the host’s Herman Cain impression.

“I remember he was like, ‘What are you trying to say? There’s a tone in your voice,'” Cenac told Maron. “I was like, ‘There’s no tone, it bothered me.’ And I was like, ‘It sounded like Kingfish [from Amos & Andy].’ Then he got upset, and he stood up, and he was just like, ‘F— off, I’m done with you.'”

On Thursday, however, Cenac appeared for an intentionally awkward farewell.

“You good?” Stewart asked the former correspondent.

“Yeah, I’m good. You good?” replied Cenac.

“Yeah, I’m good. I’d love to see you,” added Stewart.

“I’ll think about it. My social media is blowing up,” Cenac said, getting the last word.
