The association
Association Citrus is the regional delegation of Solidarités Jeunesses in West Occitanie, whose aim is to promote :

•  voluntary participation in all aspects of social life - locally, nationally and internationally ;
  
•  local development of individuals, the environment, cultural heritage ;
  
•  meetings of an inter-generational, intercultural, international dynamic ;
  
•  a concrete construction of peace.
  

Citrus was founded in 2002 in Toulouse, following the initiative of a group of young volunteers after leaving a workcamp with Solidarités Jeunesses, and who were driven by the desire to develop similar projects in the Midi-Pyrénées.

Since then, Citrus has gradually been established in the area of Midi Quercy in the Tarn-et-Garonne region, aiming to approach the realities of life on the rural land on which it acts. Firstly based in Caussade in 2006, Citrus has based its offices in a cottage in the town of Septfonds since 2008. Since 2012, the association is located on the hills of Laguépie, at the Maurel’s farm.
