Get Rid of the Recert Exam

doi: 10.1097/01.EEM.0000499548.87336.7c

    Editor:

A men, get rid of the recertification exam, as Drs. Jordana Haber and Alberto Hazan wrote. Let's take medicine back, and fire the jerks who think they know best. (“Isn't It Time to Abandon the Recertification Exam?” EMN 2016;38[6]:7; http://emn.online/MindfulJune16.)

It's also why I haven't joined the AMA. What have they done for docs regarding EMRs and having us be secretaries? Nothing! I have to put in every order? And can't even hire my own secretary to do the paperwork/order entry for me! Bull! (While a traveling doc, I was competent in nine EMR systems!)

And ACEP charging us a fortune for CME. What have they done about EMRs?! They didn't act promptly (way back when) when we had to give antibiotics for pneumonia within four hours and there was no scientific evidence backing this as the right thing to do! Arrgh!
