While discussing his horror collection, Kirk Hammett was asked to identify his favorite pieces of his collection.

"There are a few items that I could call the centerpiece of my collection, but my focus on what the centerpiece is changes all the time," Hammett said. "For today, the answer would probably be the costume that Boris Karloff wore in the Black Cat."

The costume — and corresponding poster for the movie — are on display in the exhibition.

Meanwhile, there are several posters that Hammett would describe as his favorites. Here are his top three:

Mummy Three Sheet

"It's just so large, and I love the image obviously — I put it on a guitar," Hammett said. "Seeing that thing ... it's so vibrant. Standing in front of it, there's so much color and so much energy, so many light molecules bouncing off of it."

Frankenstein teaser

"When I first saw that poster in the flesh, I thought to myself, 'oh my God, it looks like a Warhol,'" Hammett said. "That's one of my favorites as well."

Nosferatu

"Along with the other two, it's the only one known to exist," Hammett said. "I love the imagery of it. I love the German expression design that it has. It's one of my favorite movies."
