Survival Research Laboratories at Maker Faire 2007

SRL put on an unannounced performance Sunday May 20 at the Maker Faire in San Mateo. After an incendiary robot set a giant cardboard-and-paper egg on fire, the wind whipped it into a fierce blaze and threw hot ash and acrid smoke into the bleachers. After ten or so minutes of mayhem, the event staff cleared the bleachers, SRL put out the flames, and shortly thereafter the fire department arrived. Video by Leila Hornick.
