DRC: The United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres payed a visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo from the 31 August to 2 September 2019.In Goma he held meetings with the MONUSCO leadership, Staff Union and Humanitarian actors. He also visited the DDRRR repatriation camp in Munigi where he met some ex combatants and their families. In Beni he laid a wreath for fallen Peacekeepers and visited the Mangina Ebola Operations center where he met Ebola survivors and discharged patients. The SG ended his visit in Kinshasa where he held discussions with the President of the Republic, prime minister, National Assembly as well as opposition and governing parties and the civil society.
