Sheck Wes Shares Release Date For Debut Project 'Mudboy'

Sheck Wes possesses all the tools to become hip-hop's next superstar. After relaying to VIBE that Mudboy was in the "mixing stages" just last month (Sept. 11), the Harlem native has shared that his highly-anticipated debut project will release on Friday (Oct. 5).
The Cactus Jack signee made the bombshell announcement with some help from childhood friend and Orlando Magic baller Mo Bamba on Monday (Oct. 1). "Mixed Mastered and Executively Produced By Sheck Wes," he wrote with an accompanying photo of Bamba in a slimy Mudboy tee emblazoned with the "10.5.18" release date in purple font. "MUDBOY MUDBOY MUDBOY," Wes excitedly followed up on Twitter hours later.
The effort is expected to include previously released singles such as the anthemic "Mo Bamba," "Chippi Chippi," "Do That," and "Live SheckWes Die SheckWes." On the latest Billboard Hot 100 dated Oct. 6, "Mo Bamba" reached a new peak of No. 31.
The energetic performer will be taking his talents and new material on the road with him as a supporting act on Travis Scott's upcoming Astroworld Tour. The North American trek kicks off in Baltimore next month (Nov. 8).
