About the Deputy Prime Minister:

Veronika Remišová was born on 31 May 1976 in Žilina. She completed the Academy of Performing Arts and she also graduated at Sorbonne in Paris as well as at Collège d’Études Interdisciplinaires in Brussels. She also competed prestigious Higher Education Cert at the college in the UK. She worked as a councillor in the local government council, for almost 10 years she worked at the European Commission and she also passed her experience to students in the position of a teacher at universities in Bratislava and in Ružomberok.

 Education:

Academy of Performing Arts, completed with the degree of Mgr. Art. and ArtD.

Sorbonne University, completed with the degree of M.A.

Collége d´Études Interdisciplinaires, completed with the degree of M.A.

Work experience:

2004 – 2013 European Commission, Programme Manager, Youth in Action Programme

2013 – 2014 Comenius University Bratislava, Catholic University Ružomberok, lecturing

2014 – 2018 Local council Bratislava Staré – Mesto, Councillor

2016 – 2020 National Council of the Slovak Republic, member and Deputy Chairwoman of the NC SR Committee for Education, Science, Youth and Sport

Professional activities:

In the long run, Veronika Remišová has been engaged in education, activities for the youth, she has been active in the civil society sector. She has been making use of her experience from the European Commission for the benefit of Slovak citizens.
