The Charlatans and James have announced details of a huge joint Christmas show in Liverpool. Dates and ticket details are below.
Manchester ‘Sit Down’ veterans James and fellow indie heroes The Charlatans will be sharing the stage for two headline sets at Liverpool Echo Arena – as well as performing a number of tracks together. Their shortlist of covers currently includes the likes of Lou Reed, Beyonce and Echo And The Bunnymen.
“Both bands have been talking for a while about performing on the same bill, and we thought it’d be too good chance to miss,” said Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess of the ‘one night only’ event. “We’ve got ourselves a shortlist but we don’t even know which we’re going to play yet. We’ll run through some ideas in the soundcheck”
James’ frontman Tim Booth added: “We are very happy to be sharing the stage with the Charlatans- a band we’ve respected for many years.
“Come early if you want to see us perform together. Our first gig with them was in 1990, hopefully we won’t leave it so long after this one.”
James and The Charlatans will perform together at Liverpool Echo Arena on Saturday 10 December. Tickets are on sale now.
