Daddy Yankee surpasses Wisin & Yandel, who in 2018 performed eight shows.

Daddy Yankee has proven that he is the big boss. The Puerto Rican superstar has announced his 10th show at Coliseo de Puerto Rico for his Con Calma Pal' Choli and sets a new record as the artist with the most shows at the venue. He surpasses Wisin & Yandel, who in 2018 performed eight shows.

“We couldn’t imagine who would beat Wisin & Yandel’s record,” Coliseo de Puerto Rico’s manager Eduardo Cajina tells Billboard. “We are thrilled, excited and anxious because Yankee is making history in our arena.”

Produced by Rafael Pina, Con Calma Pal' Choli so far has nine shows sold out on Dec. 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 27 and 28.  The recently announced concert has been scheduled for Dec. 29 and ticket sales starts on Sunday.

Acording to Cajina, Yankee’s spectacle will have an approximate capacity of 14,000 people per show, meaning that they are expecting 140,000 fans or more in total.

Daddy Yankee, who is considered a pioneer of reggaeton, is the mastermind behind hits such as “Con Calma,” “Dura” and “Despacito,” alongside Luis Fonsi.  He hasn’t performed at the arena in 12 years and his comeback is definitely making history.
