2. 2. The United Kingdom The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is an English – speaking country. The capital of the country is London. Соединенное Королевство Великобритании и Северной Ирландии англо – язычная страна. Столицей страны является Лондон.
3. 3. Тhe House of Parliament There is the House of Parliament with Big Ben in London. Big Ben is the biggest clock bell in Britain. It weighs 13.5 tons. В Лондоне есть Здание Парламента и Биг Бен. Биг Бен – самые большие часы с колоколом в Британии. Они весят 13.5 тонн.

5. 5. Westminster Abbey Westminster Abbey. It was founded in 1050 and it is situated in the centre of London now. Many great Englishmen were buried in the Abbey: Newton, Darwin and others. 10. 10. London Underground London is connected with the London Underground. It is the oldest one in the world. The first line was opened in 1870. 25. 25. Oxford and Cambridge England is associated with Oxford and Cambridge. Oxford and Cambridge consist of a number of colleges. Each college is different, but in many ways they are alike.
