Biography

While attending Princeton, Ralph Hills won the IC4A shot put in 1923, the AAU title in 1924, and the IC4A again in 1925. Indoors he won the AAU in 1922 and 1924 and the IC4A for three years, starting in 1923. At the 1924 Trials, [Bud Houser], [Tiny Hartranft], and Hills finished 1-2-3; they placed in the same order at the Olympics. In addition to track, Hills played three years of varsity football for Princeton and served as class president. Hills graduated in 1925 and went to Johns Hopkins Medical School, from which he received his M.D. degree in 1929. He later became a professor of medicine at Hopkins.
