Biography

Pedro Rodríguez, known as “El Águila del Sur,” won the Tour of Ecuador in 1988 and 1990-91, also placing second in 1987 and fourth in 1986. In 1995 he had his best international finish, placing on the podium when he finished third at the World Road Race Championship for amateurs. Rodríguez competed four times at the Tour of Columbia, with a best finish of sixth in 1994, after finishing seventh in 1993. In 1995, he was also on the podium at the Clásico RCN, finishing third.
