MANILA — Ronnie Pressman, the British father of actress Yassi Pressman and model Issa Pressman, has passed away. He was 90.
Issa, the younger of two daughters of Mr. Pressman and their Filipino mother Belcy, confirmed the passing via an Instagram post on Thursday afternoon.
Sharing videos of Mr. Pressman in light moments, Issa wrote: “If you met my father, I bet he made you smile or laugh once if not more. He was charming, always smiling, and had a great sense of humor. He always saw the brighter side of things, no matter the situation.”
Addressing her father, Issa said: “No wonder why you lived such a great and long life, you were always so positive. You were a happy ball energy, Papa. Loving you, your baby.”
Mr. Pressman had been a visible figure in the public lives of his celebrity daughters, as they would credit him as their source of strength and inspiration.
In 2018, Mr. Pressman even joined Yassi in a televised interview on “Magandang Buhay,” where they shared an emotional moment.
At the time, Yassi couldn’t contain her tears as she was asked for a message to her father.
“I’m just going to promise that I will always take care of you, because you’re my Papito, you’re my ‘macho.’ You just promise to be strong always,” she said.
Ronnie responded: “I will. That’s to show my appreciation for your presence. I will, I will, I will.”
