Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) will meet Annelise Keating on crossover episodes of ABC's 'Scandal' and 'How to Get Away with Murder.'

Power will be on display when Washington super-fixer Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) meets up with top-notch attorney and law professor Annelise Keating (Viola Davis) in a Scandal-How to Get Away With Murder crossover Thursday (9 ET/PT).

Washington and Davis announced the two crossover episodes in January via social media and ABC later confirmed the news. Shonda Rhimes is the executive producer of both dramas and Pete Nowalk is executive producer of HTGAWM.

Washington shared a photo from the set of HTGAWM, asking: "Hey Ms @violadavis check it out. This spot look familiar?! Where are you?"

Oscar winner Davis played the game in reverse, sharing a photo of herself on Scandal's Oval Office set and shooting back: "Hey @KerryWashington, guess where I am?!"

The Scandal crossover was written by Raamla Mohamed and directed by Tony Goldwyn, who plays former president Fitzgerald Grant on Scandal.  The HTGAWM episode was written by Morenike Balogun and Sarah L. Thompson and directed by Zetna Fuentes.

Viola Davis, who plays Annelise Keating on 'How to Get Away with Murder,' will act with Kerry Washington in crossover episodes with ABC's 'Scandal.'

ABC is promoting a hybrid social-media hashtag, too: #HowtoGetAwaywithScandal.

Rhimes, who had worked for years with ABC Studios, reached a deal recently to produce content for Netflix. Scandal, HTGAWM and Grey's Anatomy will continue to be broadcast on ABC.
