Ginger Baker. Jack Bruce. Eric Clapton.

Cream-band-1967-Clapton-Bruce-Baker.JPG

Cream was a chemical explosion like no other, the blueprint for every super group to follow and the heavy blues precursor to Hendrix, Zeppelin and so much more.

More than fifty years since their earth-shaking debut album, family members of that hallowed trilogy come together to pay tribute to Cream's legendary four-album reign over the psychedelic frontier of the late 1960s.

Kofi Baker (son of Ginger) and Will Johns (Clapton’s nephew and son of Zeppelin/ Stones engineer Andy) unite with master musicians Sean McNabb and Chris Shutters to unleash the lightning that electrified a generation.

EXPERIENCE a Once-In-a-lifetime concert salute to the most innovative and explosive super group of all time, in the hands of those that knew them best.

WATCH as they interplay live with their fathers on the big screen; classic moments in rock history brought back to life.

LISTEN as they share personal insights and stories, complete with rare, yet to be seen family footage and photographs. A backstage pass like no other.

This unique project began in 2017 to celebrate Cream’s 50th Anniversary in Australia and New Zealand. Such was the response, we have since played over one hundred of these shows to tens of thousands of fans, across North America and the U.K.

We are excited to hit the road once again in 2020 with a brand new show and line up.

We’ll be performing Cream’s seminal album, Disraeli Gears, from top to bottom, followed by the Clapton classics we’ve been asked to play ever since our journey began. Check out the dates below then get your tickets. We hope to see you out there!

kofi baker - ginger’s son

Drums & Vocals

As the son of the legendary Ginger Baker, Kofi has a name synonymous with drumming excellence. He first performed live with Ginger on the iconic BBC TV show, The Old Grey Whistle Test, proving at 6 years of age that he had inherited his dad’s talents.

Kofi has played drums behind Jack Bruce and Steve Marriott and as half of a poly-rhythmic powerhouse with his father across Europe and the US over the years. More recently Kofi has played and toured with Uli Jon Roth (Scorpions), Vinny Appice (DIO, Black Sabbath), Vinnie Moore (UFO), Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Country Communion) Rick Derringer, Corky Laing and Robben Ford.

His own albums include Lost City and Abstract Logic, with Jonas Hellborg and Shawn Lane. More info at: www.kofibaker.com

will johns - Eric’s nephew

Guitar & Vocals

Eric Clapton encouraged his nephew (by marriage to Pattie Boyd) to play the guitar from an early age. This provided an auspicious start for Will, who is also the son of legendary recording engineer & producer Andy Johns (The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix), and nephew of fellow legendary producer Glyn Johns, (The Who, Eric Clapton, The Eagles). Having Beatle George Harrison (Aunty Pattie’s first husband) and Mick Fleetwood as uncles made a huge impact on the Will’s musical career.

Will has performed with Joe Strummer, Ronnie Wood, Jack Bruce, Dennis Chambers, Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman. He has released three solo albums: ‘Count On Me’, ‘Hooks & Lines’ and ‘Something Old, Something New’. The latter gained multiple awards and nominations in The British Blues Awards. Sean has toured in support of Kiss, The Scorpions, Ozzy Osborne and James Brown. He recently paired up with Kofi Baker hosting a Rock & Roll fantasy camp where the idea to work together on this 2020 MOC show was crystallized.

Guitar, Keyboards & Vocals

A two-time National Blues Champion, songwriter and producer, Chris Shutters has spent the last two decades creating, recording, and performing music around the globe.

With eight world tours under his belt and three studio albums, he has been a long-time collaborator with our drummer, Kofi Baker.

Integrating Cream and Clapton material into our new show for 2020 made Chris the obvious choice to augment our stellar line-up.

past tours

Back in 2016, the Music of Cream was just the seed of an idea. The dream was to bring an inspiring mix of international talent together to do Cream’s unbelievably influential music justice. By 2017, bloodline band members Kofi Baker, Will Johns and Malcolm Bruce were paired with Deep Purple’s Glenn Hughes and guitar virtuoso Robben Ford for the first tour.

Since then, the project has played out to thousands of people all over the world. Check out where we’ve been below!
