THQ Inc. on Monday announced that it is shipping two games based on Disney/Pixar's forthcoming animated movie "The Incredibles," which opens in theaters this Friday. The film tells the story of a family of superheroes who have retired into private life in the suburbs, when they're suddenly called back into service to help save the world.

"The Incredibles" video game ships on multiple platforms, including consoles, Mac and PC, while "The Incredibles: When Danger Calls" is an assortment of mini-games targeted at a younger audience, for Mac and PC.

THQ's Heavy Iron Studios developed "The Incredibles" game, which is a third-person action brawler featuring the characters from the Incredibles: Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and their kids, Violet and Dash. Spanning more than 18 levels ranging from jungle environments to urban landscapes, and includes bonuses and extra hidden features. Beenox, a frequent collaborator of Aspyr Media and other game companies, handled the Mac and PC conversions of the game. Minimum system requirements call for a G4/800MHz or faster, 384MB RAM, Nvidia GeForce2 MX or ATI Radeon 7500 or better 3D graphics with at least 32MB VRAM, and Mac OS X v10.2.6 or higher.

Imaginengine developed "The Incredibles: When Danger Calls." This game, made for younger players, features 10 levels of activities based on characters, settings and events from the film. It also includes multiple levels of difficult to help keep up the challenge. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or higher, G3/233MHz, 64MB free RAM, 100MB hard disk space.
