It's the floating hair during the production process though we had fix them before shipping out. Just use a soft brush to clean it.
Plush toys in the transportation process may cause extrusion and lead internal filler uneven, you can just pat it will be recover the lovely shape.
Plush toys after production will be directly sealed, therefore may have some normal smell.
It's safe and not affect any health. Just take it out in the cool air will be fine.

I’ve already washed them in the washing machine with a load of towels, and dried them in the dryer, and they held up great. They’re really soft and cute, and a great size at about 9 inches tall. The only complaint I might have is that their ears look different from each other (one’s ears are closer together than the other’s) but I think it makes them look like individuals.

These llamas were exactly what I was looking for. Soft, cuddly, cute. My ONLY complaint is that BOTH llamas had a hole in them right out of the package. One was a faulty seam, but one is a random round hole in the foot. So double check the quality before gifting. Also note, that the eyes are plastic not embroidered so this would not be safe for a pet or baby. Overall - a cute addition to my daughters stuffie collection after I did a little repair work.
