Lopez continues as a judge (and executive producer) of NBC's World of Dance and is set to star in the forthcoming rom-com Marry Me, with Maluma, with both superstars contributing new music to its soundtrack. "I have six to eight songs and Maluma does two or three," she teased earlier this year. "It's exciting."

Lopez boasts four No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart; four on Pop Songs; three on Hot Latin Songs; and two on the Billboard 200 albums chart. On Dance Club Songs, she has achieved 18 leaders, the sixth-best total in the survey's history.

Meanwhile, in last month's "Ask Billboard," we recapped Ariana Grande's career sales and streaming totals, and looked back at the Hot 100 dated June 26, 1993, the day of her birth. The artist at No. 100 that week? New Born.

There might be something prophetic about the Hot 100's anchor spot when star artists who are destined to be on the chart are born. The song at No. 100 the week that Lopez made her debut in the world? "Birthday."

'BANANA' HAS APPEAL

Honorable mention for one of the biggest such songs ever: Harry Belafonte's "The Banana Boat Song (Day-O)," from 1957, a year before the Hot 100 began.

Belafonte is a key part of Billboard chart history: His album Belafonte led the first weekly Billboard 200, dated March 24, 1956.

"The Banana Boat Song (Day-O)" is from follow-up album Calypso, which ruled for 31 weeks. The song reached No. 5 on four Hot 100 predecessor charts: Best Sellers in Stores, Most Played by Jockeys, Most Played in Juke Boxes and the Top 100.

Over 63 years later, the iconic Jamaican work song is a hit again, via a new version. Conkarah's "Banana," featuring Shaggy, reached No. 25 on Dance Club Songs last October and is now nearing the Pop Songs and Rhythmic Songs airplay charts. SiriusXM's Venus, a Pop Songs reporter, leads all stations with over 300 plays for the track to-date.

On July 15, the song's official video premiered. "It brings joy to my soul when I can share impactful rhythmic sounds that can alleviate some chaos in the world right now," Conkarah, from Kingston, Jamaica, mused in a statement upon the clip's arrival. "This is why I live for music. It changes and evolves us no matter how trying the circumstances are."

Added Shaggy, "I make songs to put smiles on people's faces and to make people happy."

As for one of the hits that inspired our fruit-song roll-up, Harry Styles' "Watermelon Sugar," it also helped plant the seed for a mashup by chart fan @DylanGLC: "Watermelon Sugar Megamix" premiered June 15.

"There is a lot going on in the world right now due to the global pandemic," Dylan posted on YouTube. "It's weird how a lot of the lyrics in songs this summer seem to fit the theme of having to stay at home to stay safe. This mix attempts to combine those lyrics in a way that shows, while it's 'hard to believe it,' you can still have fun 'under summer skies.' "
