These days all eyes are set on the Cathedral of Polo in Palermo, Buenos Aires, where tomorrow long-standing rivals La Dolfina, including the 10-goalers Adolfo Cambiaso, David Stirling, Pablo Mac Donough and Juan Martín Nero, and Ellerstina, consisting of Pieres brothers Nicolás (9), Gonzalo (10) and Facundo (10) playing alongside their cousin Pablo Pieres (10), will face each other in the final of the 2016 Argentine Open. In the semi-finals held on the past weekend Ellerstina defeated Alegría by 15-11 and La Dolfina earned a spot in the final by winning against Cria Yatay by 27-4.

The Argentine Open is the third and final part of the Argentine Triple Crown. The Triple Crown is a series of the most important tournaments worldwide and consists of the Tortugas Open, Hurlingham Open and Argentine Open. In 2016, La Dolfina won the Tortugas Open and Ellerstina was successful at the Hurlingham Open. Thus nobody can predict who will be the winner of the 2016 Argentine Open, the most important polo tournament in the world.

The final match of the 2016 Argentine Open between La Dolfina and Ellerstina will start tomorrow at 4.30 pm (local time).
