   Tornado Watch Number 454
   NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   745 AM CDT Thu Aug 27 2020

   The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

   * Tornado Watch for portions of 
     Central and southern Arkansas
     Eastern and northern Louisiana
     Western Mississippi
     Coastal Waters

   * Effective this Thursday morning and afternoon from 745 AM until
     400 PM CDT.

   * Primary threats include...
     A few tornadoes possible

   SUMMARY...Tornado potential will spread northward up the Delta
   region toward the Mid-South today, in the eastern semicircle of
   Hurricane Laura.

   The tornado watch area is approximately along and 85 statute miles
   either side of a line from 20 miles east of Houma LA to 5 miles west
   northwest of Little Rock AR. For a complete depiction of the watch

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
   tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
   area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
   threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
   and possible warnings.

   OTHER WATCH INFORMATION...This tornado watch replaces tornado
   watch number 453. Watch number 453 will not be in effect after
   745 AM CDT. 

   AVIATION...Tornadoes and a few severe thunderstorms with hail
   surface and aloft to 0 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind
   gusts to 60 knots. A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 450. Mean
   storm motion vector 12040.
