Steve Roach returns to FOX SPORTS in 2018 as an integral member of the FOX LEAGUE commentary team.

Steve Roach was a tuff, no-nonsense front-row forward who played rugby league at the very highest levels.

After joining his beloved Balmain Tigers in 1982, he quickly advanced to first grade the following year playing in the club’s first semi-final since 1977. His career with the Tigers, included the famous 1989 grand final. Along with Paul Sironen, Wayne Pearce and Benny Elias, they were considered one of the strongest packs in the club’s history.

Blocker’s representative career is impressive too. 17 State of Origin appearances for the Blues (1984 -1991) and 19 games for Australia (1985-1991).After retiring in 1992, Blocker began a career in the media with Channel Nine as a commentator and a regular panelist on The Footy Show. He then moved to 2UE and later 2GB with the top-rating Continuous Call Team. Other TV credits include Network Ten’s The Game Plan in 2011.
