Hollyoaks star Niamh Blackshaw has revealed that Juliet Quinn will get her comeuppance for bullying Brooke Hathaway.

Although the teens have struck up a friendship, Juliet has regularly played cruel mind games with Brooke (Talia Grant) – including when she manipulated her into missing an important exam last month.

In an interview with the new issue of Inside Soap, out tomorrow (July 16), Niamh has now promised that Juliet will have to face the consequences of her actions.

"There's going to be a climax with Juliet bullying Brooke, and you'll see her lose a lot of her friends," Niamh told the magazine.

"But what she loses in one respect, she gains in another – she has a lot of love from her family, and she finds that she's not alone anymore.

"Juliet's going to grow as a person, develop a sense of right and wrong, and learn from her mistakes.

"I think viewers will sympathise to an extent, although it's like anything – you do something wrong and there will be repercussions."

On exploring the storyline, Niamh added: "As someone who was bullied at school, it's therapeutic in a way to flip it and play the bully.

"It's also important to show the vulnerability of autistic girls as well, and it's great that Talia gets that opportunity – and I just love working with her."

Niamh was speaking to Inside Soap after being nominated for Best Newcomer at the upcoming Inside Soap Awards 2019. She's also up for Best On-Screen Partnership with Lysette Anthony, who plays Marnie Nightingale.

Tomorrow's Inside Soap features exclusive interviews and photoshoots with Niamh and her fellow Hollyoaks nominees Kieron Richardson (Ste Hay), Adam Woodward (Brody Hudson), Harvey Virdi (Misbah Maalik), Chelsee Healey (Goldie McQueen) and Jude Monk McGowan (Liam Donovan).

Votes for the Inside Soap Awards can be cast via the magazine's official website.
