DPNM Chair Marg Elliston released the following statement regarding the Biden for President campaign’s announcement that U.S. Senator Kamala Harris has been selected as Vice President Joe Biden’s running mate for the 2020 election:

Throughout this year, we’ve seen unprecedented enthusiasm and eagerness to elect leaders that will fight for hardworking families, respect our nation’s incredible diversity, and lead us forward to a brighter future.

“U.S. Senator Kamala Harris has made a name for herself as a champion for Democratic values and a strong voice against hatred and division. Her work represents the same values that we are fighting for here in New Mexico as we continue to build a New Mexico for all.
