Ratings: PG

Words 236

Murdock sat on the floor of the van, his legs hanging out of the side of the open side door, stroking his dog Billy.

There, boy, there.”

BA walked round and caught his stroking his invisible dog that apparently sat on his lap. He shook his head.

Ah, man, Murdock, you crazy fool. There ain’t no dog there!”

BA! You’ll hurt his feelings, dogs can sense things you know.” Murdock protested. “Anyway, the little guy is under the weather, aren’t you Billy?”

Why, what’s he got wrong with him?” Face chipped in, knowing it would wind BA up. He was sitting in Murdock’s usual seat.

He nearly got run over the other day, Faceman.”

Gosh, I imagine that would have been a bit of a shock for the driver,” Face smiled sarcastically. “A hit and run.”

Hannibal jumped into the van with a slight concerned look on his face. Murdock stood up, carrying Billy.

Right, lets swing by and pick up Amy and then hit the road. We’ve got some miles to travel.”

Colonel, is it alright if Billy comes?”

But before Hannibal had a chance to answer him, BA stood in front of Murdock.

You crazy fool, enough jibba jabba about your invisible dog, man! Meet invisible dog warden!” BA raised his clench fist and with his other hand pointed to a space next to him, “He’s about to send your dog to the pound!”
