Seattle Sounders' Raul Ruidiaz captures AT&T Goal of the Week for long-distance stunner vs. LAFC

There were goals from two weeks to choose from, but one clear winner emerged for AT&T Goal of the Week from Weeks 7 and 8 of the 2020 MLS regular season.

That honor goes to Raul Ruidiaz, who claimed more than half of the total vote (52.57%) for his stunning long-distance strike that left LAFC goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer rooted to his spot at the edge of the six-yard box in the Seattle Sounders' 3-1 win.

San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Cade Cowell will always remember his first MLS goal and the 16-year-old’s well-crafted left-footed attempt from outside the box in the latest edition of the Cali Clasico took second in the voting at 27.01%.

Hassani Dotson finished a distant third (10.35%) for a left-footed rocket under the crossbar in Minnesota United’s 3-1 loss at FC Dallas.

Sebastian Blanco’s curling effort (5.56%) after a rampaging run in a wild 4-4 draw with Real Salt Lake and Alvaro Medran’s effort from deep (4.51%) in Chicago Fire FC’s 3-0 victory over FC Cincinnati round out the voting.
