Prithvi will stage its first Gujarati play for children

Veteran Gujarati theatre director Manoj Shah known for his memorable plays such as Mareez, Amarfal, Master Phulmani and Apurva Avsar, will stage his first children's play, Mummy Tu Aavi Kaivi? for the Summer Time with Prithvi Theatre.

The drama, written by Dhiruben Patel, is set in an urban milieu where the children embarrassed by their mother's desi ways force her to get a makeover.

It illustrates the makeover of a quintessential Gujju mother into a modern mom and it repercussion on the entire household.

It also touches upon the sensitive subject of how children sometimes, in the pursuit of gaining acceptability among their peers, lose their very own cultural essence.
