Our rehoming centres are not open for public browsing but you can still make an appointment to adopt or bring a dog to us. We’ve set up new processes which include social distancing measures to help keep staff, visitors and adopters safe. We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

Bracken is a sweet little lady who is looking for a home with people who can continue her training. She is reactive to other dogs so will need to be the only pet in the home while she works on her doggy social skills. She is more than happy with the attention of her human companions and prefers to have someone around for most of the day to play with and cuddle into when she is tired out.

Type of home needed

Bracken is an active little lady who will need direct access to her own secure garden as she can be an escape artist. She will need to be kept on lead in public places as she would prefer to run around than come back. Having recent experience of owning a dog would be best. A quiet home environment would be perfect to ensure she can focus on her training. She is always on the go and not for someone wanting just a little lap dog, although she does enjoy some fuss and attention.

More about me

She will need some further house training but is ok to be left alone for a couple of hours. Bracken is a very happy little lady who loves nothing more than playing with toys and her personality is sure to win you over. Bracken is looking for a home with children over the age of 16 years old.I am looking for a home within 30 minutes of the Glasgow Rehoming Centre.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Bracken, who is based at Glasgow. Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
