Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra Movie Review & Rating

Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra Movie Review: Suriya has come up with a new and interesting film titled Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra. The film is based on the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath. Sudha Kongara who earlier made Guru is the director of the film. Mohan Babu, Urvashi, Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal and others played the key roles in the film. GV Prakash Kumar is the music director of the film. The film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Story:

Surya (Chandra Mahesh) lives in a small village in the Guntur district. Because of his father's efforts, his village gets power supply. Mahesh joins Indian Air Force but quits it after finding that Air Travel is costly and is not affordable by everyone. He suffers a personal loss because of that and starts dreaming of floating India's cheapest Air Line. But, in the process of starting an Airline at a cheaper cost, he comes across a lot of hurdles from the rivals in the business. What did Chandra do then? How did he overcome these struggles? Forms the story of the movie.

Performances:

Suriya is terrific in the role of Chandra Mahesh. He breathed life into the character of Mahesh. Showing different variations in a single character is a big thing but Suriya did it so well in the film. He maintained every emotion perfectly in the film. Aparna Balamurali is impressive in her role. This is the first time she played a romantic interest in a biggie. The chemistry between Suriya and Aparna worked out well. The rest of the actors like Mohan Babu, Urvashi, Paresh Rawal, and Prakash Belwadi made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:

Niketh Bommireddy is the cinematographer of the film who did his job pretty well. The camera work is a huge plus point in the film. The period timeline was established well in the film. Music director GV Prakash Kumar is impressive with his craft. The songs are good and the background score is impressive too. Satish Suriya is the film's editor and he gave a good output. The artwork is impressive. The production values are lavish. Technically, the film is strong and elevates the film well.

Verdict:

The film is based on a real story and there are a lot of emotional moments in the film. The film is very good till the first half and the interval bang increases curiosity in the second half of the film. The climax is a huge plus for the film as it went on an emotional note. The director worked hard on the emotional graphs of all the characters of the film. The backstories are penned well because of which the actors look authentic on the screen. The film is based on a real-life character and the makers added a lot of fiction to the tale. Some of the liberties that the makers took looked artificial and they did not work. The story of the movie has a lot of span but the director limited it and told it in a less impactful manner. The first half of the movie is good but the second half looks dragged. But, the emotion worked out well, because of which the film came out well. On the whole, Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra is an inspiring tale.
