Christiane Kubrick is the widow of the great American film director, Stanley Kubrick. Images from his films have made an indelible impression on popular culture. Think of the astronaut floating in space to Strauss's waltz in 2001 A Space Odyssey, or Peter Sellers trying to control his renegade right arm in Dr Strangelove – or even Jack Nicholson sticking his head through the door saying 'Here's Johnny' in The Shining.

Christiane is in Melbourne for the opening of a Kubrick exhibition at ACMI.
