HUMBLE - Country music singer Doug Supernaw has been arrested on a drug charge, the latest in a series of his run-ins with the law.

Supernaw, best known for his 1993 No. 1 hit I Don't Call Him Daddy, was arrested at a club Wednesday on a marijuana possession charge. The 46-year-old was released from the Harris County Jail on $1,000 bail and is due in court Thursday. Jail officials said Friday that no attorney is listed for Supernaw.

Supernaw was sentenced last year to 115 days in jail and a $300 fine for marijuana possession. In past years, Supernaw has also been found guilty of assaulting a police officer, failing to pay child support and public intoxication.
